Waiting for my soon to be former best friend, I felt my hunger reach infinite levels. And all thanks to Abani Mohra. Because she decided to go get the library books reissued.
Seriously!? She's on a reading spree, trust me when i say this!
Well, whatever! She was literally testing my patience. Who said only kids can do that, sometimes people like her play equally good.
"Arihart I'm leaving if she does not come in 5 minutes." Anger was building up in all my body cells. While he was busy tapping his feet listening to God know what song.
I glared at his side. "Calm down Arundhati. We can't just leave her here." He replied in a rather calm voice. Apparently, he wasn't the one who was so hungry that he'd eat up a man right now.
"WHY!!" I snapped at him.
"Because she is coming." He pointed out and I could see her walking towards us.
Her long, straight and dark brown hair were shining and her eyes were sparkling because of the sunlight. She was 5'4 with all the right curves in all the right places. Her beauty was innocent, she never flaunted it which made her all the way more beautiful. Her milky complexion added onto the Panjabi image of hers. I could think of no girl in our school who could carry the school uniform with the ease she did.
The aura around her was always happy and attracted people towards her like magnet attracts iron. Her smile could light anyone's day . No wonder she was one of the biggest heart throbs of our school.
"Will you hurry up...? I'm hungry and don't blame me now if I start eating you." I screamed out from the passenger seat.
Arihart turned the car into ignition and she pick up a pace. I unlocked the back door for her to get in. She smiled apologetically and I forgave her right away. We drove out of the parking and soon we were out on the road.
Today was our last mid-term.
Yay, freedom! No studies for 10 days! Not that we studied for our exams anyway.
I felt the time fly. It seemed only yesterday when we were attending the first lecture of 11th grade and now we we'd finshed writing our last mid-term.
The thought of us passing out next year sent shrills of excitement and fear down my spine.
But would that mean leaving my school life behind? Leaving these people behind?
Nah I don't think so..I am not leaving these retards for anything in this world! You see its not like I won't be able to live without them or anything but the thing that they wont be able to handle themselves in this harsh world without me! See, am I not the bestest of best friends anyone can have...
With the sudden wave of love for my friends, I subsided my hunger. Or I tried.
I skipped breakfast because school is more important. And then I skipped lunch because discussing YouTubers is more important.
God just give me something to eat. Something with caffeine, preferably.
"Okay so where to...?" Arihant asked sliding on his aviators.
"CCD.." Me and Avi replied in chorus. Yes, I love her. My best friend.
We giggled and Arihant nodded.
"Seatbelt Arundhati. " he said pointing towards the buckle and the latch.
"It's a five minute drive" I said with my puppy eyes.
