Abani...<3
I walked into my room and placed my bag on my bed.
Seeing the mess I'd made, I let out a sigh. Damn I am gonna have to clean this shit up!! I couldn't dump it on exams anymore. Because my exams were over.
My mom walked in.
"How was your exam today?" She asked
"It was good.." I replied and gave her a smile.
Well this is how we Indian kids deal with bad papers..
Friends: I'm gonna fucking fail
Parents: it was the best I've ever written mom.She hugged me and whispered into my ear.."Clean this mess right now!!"
"Yes moooom.." I sighed and got to work right away.
"Where do I start..??"
Now that I had to clean the room anyways I decided to play some songs. Cuz baby lets just admit, playing songs while you clean up is always a good idea.
The next hour was all about singing, dancing and a bit of cleaning. But I was done. I had cleaned my room. Spick and span.
I wanted to continue reading Paper Towns. But my mom wouldn't let me!!
So I decided to go somewhere else and read in peace.
I changed into a pair of black skinny jeans and a plain white v-neck t-shirt. I tied up my hair in a high pony picked up Paper Towns and called for mom.
"Mom I'm going to the park."
She walked out of the kitchen and gave me a questioning look.
What?
Oh the jeans..!!God ma, we live in Delhi.
"Don't worry ma, if I can't get my jeans off neither can the rapist" I winked and walked out.
I sat on the bench next to the swings. Kids were playing around me, on the swings, everywhere.
I'd missed this. Reading in the park.
I was not able to come down during my exam. Well, my mother won't let me. According to her that would just distract me..
Anyways, I opened my book and started reading.
I was lost in the novel so much that I did not even notice someone sitting next to me, until he spoke.
"Hi!" he said.
"Why cant people let me read in peace!!!"
And next to me sat this beautiful creature. The first thing that came into my mind was..this guy is cute!! And I just might have scared the shit out of him.
Way to go Avi...Amazing socializing skills.
"I was-was..I just-shit!" he hesitated. 'Might have' now seemed like an understatement now..
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shout!!" I replied trying to hold the fort which was already going down.
"Its Ok" he said and smiled.
His smile was just so perfect. His hair were side-parted making him look nerd-ish and hot at the same time . He was clean-shaven. I know there is something about guys with beard but trust me there is something about guys with clean shave too.
"So you new here?" Well I hadn't seen this guy around so it only made sense. But it would really be embarrassing if he wasn't new here.
"Yep! I'm new." He was looking straight into my eyes. Luckily he was new! See I'm always right!!
I couldn't make out whether his eyes were dark brown or blackish brown though. But they were beautiful and intense. They had both innocence and naughtiness, warmth and a bit of cold. I found myself staring at him and he let out a chuckle.
Shit he probably thinks I'm lame.
"Sorry" I averted my gaze and shook off my thoughts.
"I'm Aryan Devan " he said bringing his right hand forward.
Hmm. Manners. I like manners.
"Abani Mohra. But you can call me Avi." we shook hands.
His handshake was firm yet gentle.
"So, show me around sometime." He said and got up.
He was tall. Maybe 5'10 or 5'11. But god he was tall. His muscles were toned, a bit tan and near perfect. His posture shouted of confidence and the guy-ish kind off grace, if there is such a thing.
"Sure." I said looking up to him.
"I got to run right now. See you around..?" he was so confident.
"Sure." I said and blushed.
Blushed? I haven't done that in quite a while.
Well life surprises us all the time.
"Bye then." He walked away with such ease like he was born to walk. God I sound so stupid right now.
AVI STOP DROOLING!!
Does anyone believe in love at first sight.!?!
