Behind the shield

Did you ever feel like you live in two worlds? Today is a day like that. Totally messed up.

"Riley, snap out of it. You're in reality now." Luke is one of that guys that is almost too hot, too perfect. But in my eyes a big pain in the ass.

"Shh...somebody is coming."

In the corner of my eye I could see the tension in Luke's face. The two guys, both with thick masks on their faces were getting closer with what looked like Ak47's in their muscled arms.

"Bang"

Just as I went up behind our best and only shield..."Bang"

"Shit these guys seriously wants us dead." Luke said while getting ready to fire a shot this time to them.

"No shit." I said with the best sarcastic tone I could manage.

We're the best team on the business, but today I feel like the worst.

"This is it Luke, I'm firing."

To kill, I thought. I quickly stood up and began to shoot. Every bullet even quicker. Shots came to my side and after what felt like an hour and sometime the shots stopped.

"Riley you can stop now." Luke's voice sounded tight.

I stopped and glared at the two bodies on the floor just as Luke took my arm and pulled me in to a hug. It's over, I thought. I'm in this job since my father died, but I still hate seeing dead people, especially killed by me..
