Stacy’s POV –

I wake up to the sound of my annoying alarm. I was partially excited about school but I was also really nervous. My old school obviously hated e and wanted me dead, so this is a new start for me to make friends, and knowing my dumb self; I’ll mess it all up. I quickly get up and walk into my bathroom. Yesterday I put only a couple of things in there since all I really needed was my shampoo, blow dryer, and of course; straightener. I never really cared about what my hair looked like but I really wanted people to like me. I jumped in the shower and just let the hot refreshing water pour down my body.

10 minutes later

I was wide awake now and I blow dried my hair. I layered y hair and began to drag the straightener through my thick brown hair. That’s my only problem with straightening my hair; it took forever. Once done, I walk to my closet and pick out an outfit. I stuck with a simple flowery t-shirt and skinny jeans with just my regular white converse. I wasn’t very dressy so to me, it was perfect. I didn’t know how this school would be, so I didn’t know what to wear, or how to act. But my mom just kept telling me “be yourself, they’ll love you.” But last time I did that; I ended up having no friends whatsoever.

I ran downstairs and mom already had my cereal ready for me.

“Thanks mom!” I smiled and began to eat. She smiled and I could tell she was genially happy. “Well someones in a good mood.” I smirked at her and she just kept smiling.

“Well, it’s just I’ve never seen you this happy since… yeah. I just really think this move will be really good.” She smiled and continued eating. I returned the smile and I really had to admit… it was going great so far.

“I better get going, wouldn’t want to be late on my first day!” I said while kissing my mom’s cheek and walking out. As I began to walk out I heard a thick Irish accent call my name. I turned slowly and noticed it was the kid across the street; Niall.  He crossed the street to get to me and that’s when my heart sped up. I don’t know why, but he made me really nervous. I mean, I am always nervous around boys… but it’s worse with him.

“Hey!” he grinned at me. I smiled at him in response and we walked in silence. Any other girl would think it was comfortable silence, but it was quite awkward for me. Should I start talking? No. that’s never exactly done any good for me. But, it’s just so awkward…

“so-uhm, is R-Rosewood a good school?” I stutter. God, I should’ve kept my mouth shut!

“yeah, it’s decent… I guess it all depends on the people you hang out with. Your nervous aren’t you?” he smiled while turning. I followed him because I didn’t exactly know where this school was.

“It was that noticeable?” I blushed. My stomach was erupting with nerves. I was actually very nervous and I don’t know why.

“Nah, just a guess… I mean; you seem kind of shy and so going to a whole new school can be kind of scary I’m guessing.” It’s like he could read my mind.

“Yeah, it definitely gets the nerves going…” I said looking at the ground. We arrived at which I’m guessing was the entrance of the school. It was huge and that scared me so much more. There had to be at least 3 floors and maybe even a basement. How was I going to survive this year?

Niall stopped abruptly and turned to look at me, I was confused but it was the first time I actually noticed how beautiful his eyes were.

“So, I know we really don’t know each other but… if you want, you can hang around me for the day. I mean like, I can give you a tour walk you to classes. I wouldn’t want you to be alone or anything. We -could get to know each other.” And this time; he spoke the words but- in a shy tone…

“That sounds nice but, I wouldn’t want to make you skip your friends for some new girl. I’ll be fine though. Thanks anyways.” I blushed and I looked around. I noticed; all the girls were staring at Niall and giving me dirty looks. Did they really not like me already? And all the guys were saying hey to Niall. He was popular… that explains so much.

“Well, if you need anything; I’m here.” He smiled before walking away. I knew we wouldn’t have any classes together because he was the grade up. Although I have accelerated math… which means, I have the chance to be in his class for mathematics. That’d be nice I guess. Knowing he was really the only one I guess I was on the verge of actually being friends with.

I walk around confused looking for the front office. I really didn’t know where I was going so I decided to just ask someone. I tapped a boy on the shoulder and he turned around with a smile. He was actually really attractive. WERE ALL GUYS AT THIS SCHOOL CUTE!? He had brown wavy hair which flipped to the side. Not exactly long but not very short. He had hazel eyes and a really cute smile.

“I-Uhm, I- do you know where the office is?” I blushed and he chuckled. Great, second guy I have embarrassed myself in front of.

“I’m guessing your new? Hi, I’m Luke. This is jenny, Sara, and Bryan.” He introduced me to the people behind me. Jenny, I think, gave me a weird look but Sara smiled and waved. All I asked was for directions. “So, uh … ha-ha, the office is right there.” He said while pointing to the doors which said ‘OFFICE ENTRY’ wow, I feel super dumb now.

“oh, thanks.” I smiled and waved goodbye.

When I got my schedule I have to admit I was very surprised to see I had advanced science to. So that was 2 classes I could possibly have with Niall. I have Spanish and art for my electives which kind of made me excited. After scanning over my schedule I head to my locker. I look down at the locker numbers to find mine. Once found I start to place things and then that’s when the bell rang. Signaling, we had 5 minutes to get too class. I didn’t exactly know where my first hour was so maybe this was the right time to ask the office for a tour. I turn around and head to the office.

“Not to bother, but could I possibly have a tour? I don’t know where anything is.” I chuckled showing the obvious. The Office lately did the same and smiled.

“Sure Hun. Do you have anyone specific you’d like?” She smiled. I thought back to when Niall said he could give me a tour if I’d like. And right now, I’d like.

“Niall..Horan?” Trying to remember his last name. She glanced at me and then went to the phone dialing his class teacher and getting him out of class.

I sat down waiting for Niall and while doing so Luke walked in. He turned his head and noticed me on my phone. His eyes lit up and he grinned at me. Weird?

“Hey Stacy!” he said enthusiastically. Nobody was ever this happy to be around me…it was nice.

“Hey.” I said while blushing. He giggled and continued.

“What are you doing in here?” he asked. I told him about the tour and how I was waiting for Niall. When I said that he looked a little less happy? Did he not like Niall?

“I could give you the tour instead!” he said smiling. As on Queue Niall was standing in the door.

“That won’t be necessary. I’m here now.” Niall said giving Luke a dirty look. Wow, the obviously did not like each other.  Luke returned the Luke and said Goodbye to me. He smiled on the way out and I was just confused. But I didn’t want to ask Niall, it might be personal. For the rest of the day it was pretty lonely after the tour.
