Kendall's POV
I check my white Gucci watch, ten minutes until the bell. Right on time. I pull out my little pink compact mirror and go through my checklist. Decent hair? I pull my smooth brunette waves so that half sits on each shoulder. Check. Makeup? I redo my eyeliner and mascara with amazing accuracy. I rummage through my makeup bag until I find what I'm looking for, my hand finds the small tube buried in the corner. I smile, pulling out the little pink container, my 'Candyfloss Kiss' lipstick. My sister Cara had bought it for me the other day and I had fallen in love, the pastel colour went so well with, basically all my outfits. I puckered my lips and applied the heaven in a tube. Makeup check. Bubblegum? Once again I rummage through my makeup bag, yes makeup bag, my look isn't complete without bubblegum. Check. Sass and fabulousness? Always check.
I walk into school with my famous 'not-interested' face on. As soon as I step through the doors I'm greeted by about a dozen wannabes and tagalongs.
"Hey Kendall, wanna go shopping later?!"
"OMG Kendall I just love what you're wearing today! Those shoes are to die for!"
"Seriously Kendall, how are you that pretty?" I groan and blank them, get your own friends. These girls are pathetic, attention hungry losers and the fact that they constantly buzz around me really gets on my nerves. But hey, being the most popular girl in school isn't easy! Yeah, that's right, Kendall Williams AKA The Most Popular Girl.
I strut down a few corridors with my growing 'posse' close behind until I get to the locker hall. It's just one big corridor full of lockers, I don't know why they aren't scattered around the whole school but our headmistress has no common sense and she wouldn't know style if it shot her in the face. I shake my head in a way that my hair flows behind me and shimmers in the light, yeah I know how to work it. I earn a few wolf whistles from the boys so I swing my arms and stick my head up high to show them I'm not interested, not anymore. I smile, not because they're interested, but because this outfit is working. My sister is a model so she knows what looks good on me, she basically styles me everyday. Today it's awesome nebula leggings, a black tee, my mauve suede Nike blazers and a SnapBack. Trendy, I reminded myself to buy her a lollipop on the way home. The soda pop one, not the strawberry one - she hates those.
I strut over to my sky blue locker to find my BFF Terra snogging her boyfriend Jed. I tap Jed on the shoulder.
"Excuse me but if your done swapping saliva, I'm taking Terra." I say brightly. They pull back, Jed looks amused but Terra looks as if I said her dog died.
"Sure thang Kenny," he says, using my honorary nickname. He pecks Terra's cheek. "See you later babe." She mumbles a goodbye and watches him walk off. She turns around to face me, so fast that her straight blonde hair whips my face.
"Why'd you do that?" She demands poking my face.
"Do what?" I say innocently, swatting her hand away. She tuts, this girl is sassy today.
"You know what, I was having a moment and you just, like- cockblocked!" Silence, we both start to giggle. Honestly Terra is ridiculous sometimes, but I love her, I really do.
"Whatever T." The bell rings and we set off for class. I swallow my now tasteless bubblegum (unhealthy I know but I don't want to touch it just to put it in the bin) and pop a fresh one in my mouth. My taste buds are in heaven as the strawberry sherbet flavour explodes in my mouth. I've always loved bubblegum, even when I was little. Most kids loved chocolate, I loved bubblegum. My Dad used to call the Bubblegum Kid but now I'm like ugh, it's Bubblegum Bitch.
