I knew today was going to be the worse so far. Tony was finally leaving to go back on tour and I had no idea on how to handle it. I was so used to having him around all the time, and I was hoping it'd stay that way, but I knew it wouldn't. He was in a band and I couldn't ask him to give up his career. Tony was downstairs talking on the phone with Vic who was meeting us at the airport with Jamie and Mike. I had to keep myself from crying. I was upstairs getting dressed for this dreadful day. I just wanted to rewind this whole month. When I was dressed I went downstairs and sat down on the couch waiting for Tony to get off the phone. Once he saw me he gave me a small smile.
Tony got off the phone and sat down next to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. He kissed where my temple is and smiled.
"It'll be over before you know it babe I promise."
I just nodded my head before standing up and grabbing his hand to hug him properly. Tony grabbed his suitcase and we headed out the door and to the airport. When we arrived I parked the car and got out. Tony followed after grabbing is luggage and I knew that this was really happening again. I tried to hold back my tears as we walked towards the entrance and the closer we got the more it felt like I couldn't even breathe. I tried calming myself down but it was hard. He'd be gone for a whole year this time instead of the normal 5 months. I quickly wiped away a tear that fell down my face.
We walked in and found the other boys and waited with them. About thirty minutes after we arrived their flight was called out and the boys began gathering their stuff. Tony turned to me and hugged me tighter than he ever has before and kissed me multiple times before letting me go and grabbing his stuff. He started walking with the boys towards the terminal. He stopped and turned around.
"I love you Ashley Perry. I'll see you soon baby girl. I promise"
And with that he turned back around and was gone. I turned on my heel quickly heading out to the car. When I got in I broke down and started pounding on the steering wheel and tugging on my hair. I didn't know how I was supposed to handle not having him around for a whole year. I know the girls are going to miss him and they didn't get to say goodbye either, they were at school when we left. I sighed and tried to calm myself down when my phone buzzed. I grabbed it and looked at the screen.
"I love you and the girls so much. Tell them I said I'll see them soon. I love you baby"
I text Tony back before wiping my tears away and taking off from the airport and back to the house.
