Dan woke up the next morning with birds tweeting, sun shinning in his face blinding him as he arose and yawned. He stretched his arms out and looked around. His suitcase say peacefully on the branch next to him, his too big sweater sat on the ground below up, caked in dirt. Dan sighed and his stomach growled in response. He realized he hadn't food since he left his flat, even earlier. He jumped down from his branch and grabbed his suitcase from above. He bent down and grabbed his sweater and started to walk toward the city below. The clouds were whispy and slightly coated the bright blue sky. He slowly walked down a hill that leaded to his favourite place to eat. Walking inside and leaving his suitcase by the door, he reached inside his pocket and realized he had no money since he took a cab to get to this part of town. People glanced at him with weird looks and eyed his suitcase and his saddened face. He sat down at a table near the back of the restaurant and looked down at the floor, miserably.
"Um.. Hey.." Said a voice next to Dan. "Are you by chance.. Danisnotonfire?"
Dan turned around to see a girl sitting in a table beside her. The girl had dark blue hair, to her shoulders, brown eyes and slender legs. Her band tee was black along with her skinny jeans that perfectly fit her legs. Her galaxy converse lay on the dark oak wood floor. She smiled and repeated herself. "Are you?"
"Oh..yah." He stuttered. "Wow.." He muttered under his breath.
"Fancy meeting you here." She said looking at him. " After you and Phil adopted Dil-"
He cut her off. "Don't talk about Phil please." He said angrily. He stomach growled more loudly this time. The girl walked over and pulled a chair to sit on the other side of the table with Dan.
"Ok.. Im not gonna ask any questions." She said unsure. " But i was originally going to ask you if you wanted food chance. Well, before I realized you were actually Dan. Your chocolate brown eyes really stood out, and same with your llama shirt and how you're hair was parted."
"I expect you were a phangirl, weren't you." He asked laughing.
The girl with blue hair spit out her water she had just gotten.
"Oh yah.. I am.. That must have been awkward.."
Dan laughed again." Oh no. Its not. Its ok. So you said you were gonna order me food." He said eying the water she was currently drinking.
"Oh yah!" She laughed nervously.
"What's your name either way." Dan asked.
"Jade." She answered back quietly. She called over the waitress and Dan told her what he wanted.
"Gorgeous name." He said.
"T-t-thank-k-k you-u-u-u." She stuttered. "Oh, and also, after we finish eating, well, after you finish eating, do you need a ride home?" She asked." I saw you walking, and with a suitcase." She turned around and looked at the black, dirty suitcase standing by the entrance.
"No. I dont want to go home ever again." He said fiercely.
"Oh ok." She said, looking surprised. "Do you wanna come over my flat then? Just to stay the night?"
"Oh. Um. Sure.." Dan said. The aroma of the food wandered and found Dan's nose. The food was placed down in front of Dan and Jade laughed as she saw him devour it .
