Chapter Two- The Night We Share

(Light's POV)
GAH WHAT AM I DOING!!!!
I should be KILLING him right now not wrapping him in my arms! Whats wrong with me? Why do i have the urge to kiss him?
I need to stop! I need to get away fast before anything else happens to us. I look down at his peaceful face. I don't want to move but i have to i cant stay here any longer!
I sit up disturbing Ryuzaki. He looks at me then realises what what just happening.
"Oh... Im sorr-"
"Its fine we should probably head upstairs it's getting pretty late" i just needed to sleep and maybe that will help me forget what just happened. He was so warm, his hands so soft-
NO!
I cant think of him that way!
I want him dead!
I want to kill him!
I want to kiss him!
UGH WHY??!!!

(Normal POV)
Light stands up and starts walking upstairs to his room, L was following close behind him. Once they reached the room Light opened the door and pulled on the chains to get L's attention.
"What is it Light-kun?"
"I need to get dressed...."
"Oh yes..." L grabbed a key out of his pocket and unlocked the handcuffs so Light could change. L sat on the bed with his eyes glued to his laptop waiting for Light to finish changing. He walked in a few seconds later dressed in his black pjs, he walked over to the bed and allowed L to put the handcuffs back on him. Light sat under the covers for a while staring at L working on the Kira case.
'Does he ever have a break?' Light thought to himself.
"Are you okay Light-Kun? You've been staring at me these past 10 minutes... Something troubling you?"
"No im just wondering"
"What about?" Light just sat there and turned his head to face the front of the room.
"This.." He said motioning to the chain before looking at L "its going to be really difficult with us trying to live our lives when were both chained up. I can't even get dressed privately anymore!"
"We will just have to get used to it sooner or later, this chain is necessary for you. Your trying to clean your name of Kira, well then this will prove it"
"You have a point there"
"I still suspect you Light. If it is you I promise i wont go as hard on you as I would anyone else. After all you are the Chiefs son...."
"Is that the only reason?"
"There are other reasons to it too, the fact that you are my only friend is one of them. Theres another one too that you shouldn't know about" L started to blush at this and his face turned a light shade of pink.
"Ryuzaki?"
"Light-Kun?"
"Are you blushing?" He said with a smirk plastered on his face.
"No im just hot"
"Sure~....."
"I know im attractive but you cant have me Light-Kun" Light just stopped and stared at him. His jaw dropped slightly and sweat was forming on his face.
"Got you there Light-kun" Light just stared at him, his left eyebrow twitching slightly. He turned away and crossed his arms.
"Your an idiot" he mumbled under his breath.
"Im a smart idiot Kira-Chan"
"Im not Kira!"
"Kira-Chan..."
"Stop calling me Kira!"
"Make me"
"Fine i will" Light pushed L off the bed dragging him along with it. L stood back up along with Light.
"You wont win this one" he said pushing him to the ground and pinning him down.
"I believe i have won Light-Kun"
"Oh no you havent!" He said L to the side and pinned him down.
"You cant get me that easily Ryuzaki" He was caught off guard when L leaned up and kissed his cheek. L sat up and touched his cheek before getting pushed back down once again by L.
"Number 1 rule in combat is to never get distracted by your opponent" he stted in a matter of fact tone.
"Why did you kiss me?"
"What?"
"You kissed me.." He said firmly staring into L's dark eyes.
"Why?"
"It was the only way i could think of to get you off guard" he said while clearing his throat.
"Okay" Light said uncertain wether that was true or not.
"Anyway we should get some sleep" light said scratching the top of his head.
"Oh.. Um yes" he said getting off of Light and holding out a hand to help him up. Light gladly accepted it and pulled himself up. He didn't let go of L's hand, instead he held hit and pulled L to the bed. They both climbed in and L soon fell asleep. Light was half awake and he looked down at L, he pulled him in closer resting his head on his chest so he could hear his heartbeat. It was soothing and he soon found himself asleep.

L: I thought you worshiped Kira? *points to Kira shrine*

*covers it with a blanket* heh what? Noooo!!...
