Telling Our Parents

Finn POV
Today is the day we tell our parents about the engagement. Rachel wanted to tell her dad first because she thinks he's the only parent she has. So, yes, she's still not speaking with her other dad. I know she misses him. But I respect her wishes so after school we're going to ask her dad to stay, and then we'll tell him.

Rachel POV
After Quinn's little sudden outburst last week, we spent the rest of the day together. She even came by with Santana after school. She told me she really wanted to see Beth. I let her so she could forget about puck, and she did.

Anyway, today Finn and I are telling my dad, and depending on how he takes it, we'll tell his mom after. I'm so nervous. I don't want my daddy to also abandon me because I'm growing up and making life changing decisions. I really want to forgive dad, but I can't, and I won't.

(Still)Rachel POV
It's lunch time and I was getting my pasta when puck showed up behind me. I rolled my eyes.

"What do you want puckerman" I ask annoyed
"I just want to ask you a question" he said

I turn to face him after I finished paying

"What?" I ask still annoyed

Can't he just understand? I don't like him, and I never will.

"Why are you marrying Finn? I mean we're still in high school" he asked sad
"Not that it's any of your business..." I was going to say more but he butted in
"He was my best friend and you were my girlfriend, and you guys made a baby, you at least owe me the truth, did you even love me?" He asked looking down

Oh crap, now I feel bad, but he asked for it

"Listen Noah, I love Finn,that's why I'm marrying him, not because we happened to make a baby, but because he's the one for me, and I'm sorry, I really am, but the answer is no, I don't think I ever really loved you, I'm sorry" I said sad and I decided to walk away,

Maybe now he understands and he'll leave me alone. I sit at the table with Santana, Britney, Quinn, Kurt, Blaine, and Mercedes

"What was that about?" Mercedes asked

I glanced at Quinn to make sure she was ok with me talking about him. She looked down and nodded, so I let out a sigh

"I told him that I didn't love him" I said plainly
"Ouch, that must've stung" Blaine said
"Well maybe now, he'll finally leave Finn and Rachel alone" Santana added
"Hopefully" I say
"Have you decided who your maid of honor is going to be?" Mercedes asked changing the subject,

Thank god, because Finn just took a seat

"Not yet, but I was thinking Beth's godmother could do it, if she'd want to" I smile knowing she's always bragging how I'm going to choose her

"Uh hello? Obviously!" Santana yelled getting up and hugging me

I smiled, of course I was going to pick Santana! She's been my bestie since forever!

"Obviously what?" Finn asked
"I'm Rachel's maid of honor lumps! Duh" Santana said sitting down

I kissed Finns cheek.

"Thanks for the insult Satan" Finn smiled sarcastic
"No problem jolly green giant" Santana smiled

Everyone laughed and began their own little conversation. I turned to face Finn.

"Ready for tonight?" I ask
"Ready babe" he said kissing my cheek

After school

I was sitting in the car with Finn as he parked. He was holding my hand in comfort as I mentally freaked out.

"Maybe we should tell them next week?" I offer
"Oh no, we already called Shelby over and my mom agreed for dinner, There's no going back now" Finns argued

I looked at Finn still nervous and he leaned in placing a chaste kiss on my lips

"Everything's going to be fine, I promise" Finn assured

I kissed him again

"I love you" I said
"I love you too, now come on, your dad's probably going to think we're making out" Finn said help me out

I opened the door to our apartment to find Shelby already here and my dad coming out of Beth's room with her monitor.

"Oh there you two are, forgot to tell you Shelby came over an hour ago" my dad said grabbing his jacket
"Actually daddy, can you stay, we called Shelby because we wanted to tell you both something" I said stopping him as Shelby stood up

Finn grabbed my hand and daddy closed his eyes shut

"Please don't tell me you're pregnant again" he whispered
"Daddy! Of course not" I said

Honestly, does he really think I'm that dumb again!

"No, Uh, actually mr. Berry, and Shelby, Rachel and I are getting married" Finn said

I looked at them and Shelby came over with a shocked look, and she hugged us

"Congrats you two" she said

I looked at Dady and he still didn't say anything. I got nervous and let go of Finns hand and stepping forward.

"Please say something" I beg

He just shows me a small smile

"I'm happy if you're happy Rachie, you're my little girl, it just makes me sad that you're growing up so fast" he smiled hugging me

I hug back, and breathe out a sigh of relief.

"You scared me for a minute" I said

I let go and he kissed the top of my head. I saw Shelby smiling. Finn came up from behind and put his arm around my waist.

"Thank you mr.berry and Shelby" Finn said
"Thank you for making my Rachie happy, you keep doing that or I'll make sure you never see..."
"Daddy!" I interrupt
"I will, I promise" Finn said nervous
"Ok, I trust you, but listen Rachie I have to get going, but congratulations" my daddy said as walked out

Shelby smiled at us and said

"I have to go to, but also, congrats you crazy kids, good luck!" She said leaving as well

I let out a sigh as Finn hugged me in support. I look up to face him

"Shall we go to your parents and do that again?" I ask
"We shall" Finn replied smiling
