Little Boy

*Zoey's P.O.V*

"Um, I've lost my mum and, and, and I can't find her." The little boy spoke, bursting into tears.

"Hey, it's okay, we'll help you find her. Where were you before?" Tyler asked gently, trying not to frighten the boy.

"I was near the playground." The boy said, with a trembling lip.

"Well let's go back over to the playground just in case mummy comes back." Tyler suggested then picked the little boy up. We walked over to the playground and almost immediately a crying woman ran up to us and took the little boy.

"Oh my gosh, thank you. Thank you for finding my son." The woman cried, while holding the boy tight in her arms like she thought he would vanish again.

"It's fine, but Tyler did it all." I smiled and Tyler blushed. After that we ended up going home and Tyler being Tyler, wanted to walk me to my house.

"So there's gonna be a bonfire tomorrow night and a few people are gonna be there so I was wondering if you'd like to come with me?" Tyler said which made me smile and replied with,

"Sure, I'd love too." Then we stood in silence for a bit.

"Well I better get home. See you tomorrow." Tyler said but didn't leave. He opened his mouth to say more but then he shut it almost immediately. He just turned and left. I went inside then showered, and hopped into my pajamas (which was just a long, baggy t-shirt), then hoped into bed and instantly fell asleep.

It was the next day and before I knew it, I was looking at myself in my body length mirror, wearing a plain white shirt and high waist denim  shorts.

"I can do this." I spoke to myself then left to meet Tyler at the beach. It as around about 6:00 so the sun was just setting but i could see Tyler from a mile away.

"Hey." Tyler spoke while walking up to me.

"Who is this?" A dark skinned guy with an afro asked standing up.

"Oh, this is Zoey, Zoey this is Zeke." Tyler introduced, then 4 other people walked over to us, 2 girls, 2 guys.

"This is Mikayla." Tyler said pointing to a tanned brunette who waved politely at me.

"This is Eddi." He was now pointing at a typical jock looking blonde who nodded when his name was called.

"Ethan." Waved a shy, hipster looking guy.

"And finally Arlya." Tyler finished pointing to a fake looking, barbie wannabe, who gave me the death stare. We walked down towards the big bonfire. There were some logs laid down in front of the fire. Tyler sat down and I sat beside him.

"What do you think your doing?" Arlya asked, glaring at me.

"I'm sitting."

"Yeah, I can see that, your sitting in my spot."

"Well I'm sitting here now. Just sit some where else."

"Who do you think you are coming here and embarrassing me in front of my friends?" Arlya questioned, steam practically coming out of her ears.

"I'm Zoey." I retorted standing up but that was enough for Arlya to blow. She screeched at me and then charged, tackling me too the ground then started punching me. I tried wriggling out from under her and I tried to flip her but she was to heavy so all I could do was try and grab her wrist which ended up with her spitting on me. I closed my eyes and soon I felt Arlya's weight come off of my stomach. I quickly staggered to my feet to see Zeke and Mikayla holding Arlya back.

"Come on, let's go." Tyler said grabbing my elbow and escorting me too his house. We were crossing the road when I started crying and I kept crying till we were in Tyler's bathroom.

"Sit on the counter so I can clean you up." Tyler said opening up the draws to get some tissues. I sat up on the counter then wiped my eyes.

"I'm sorry about Arlya, she is used to being queen bee." Tyler said, wetting the tissue then started wiping the blood off of my lip.
