Unexpected Words

*Zoey's P.O.V*

"I love you." 

Tyler's words ran through my head, over and over again.

He loves me.

Do I love him?

"I love you." The words fell out of my mouth before I knew I said.

"I love you." I said more confidently.

"I'm glad, I was worried that I'd get rejected." Tyler said which made me laugh.

"You getting rejected is like me doing a sport for a living, impossible." I giggled and Tyler laughed.

"You can put your shirt back on now." Tyler added, getting up to wash his hands.

"What do you want to do?" I asked as Tyler sat back on the couch.

"Well I don't know about you but I feel like driving around." Tyler suggested.

"Sure. I still need to see around the town cause the only place I've." I admitted standing up and Tyler stood up too, then linking our hands as we walked to his car.

We put our seat belts on and Tyler explained where we were going, 

"First we are going to the arcade because that is gonna close soon and I really think you will like it, then we will go to the museum and more places that I can't think of at the moment." 

I laughed and Tyler started the car.

We started driving in peace as some music played softly from the radio.

"Why do you want to go to an arcade?" I asked staring out of the window.

"Because I want to see if your as lucky as I am." Tyler commented, sticking his tongue out at me.

"Well I am really lucky so bring it on." I lied, I was the most unluckiest person in the world.

We continued to drive until we came to a stop at a small shop.

"Are we here?" I asked unbuckling my seat belt.

"Yep. Sweet, it's still open." He clarified.

We walked in and I was amazed at how many arcade games there was, how could they all fit in this small shop?

"This is amazing." I said running up to different arcade games, seeing what there was to play.

I wasn't what you'd call a gamer girl because I only really like classic games.

"Do you wanna have a dance battle?" Tyler asked walking over to a dance machine.

"Sure, I'm gonna kick your butt." I stated standing on the machine, putting tokens that we paid for when we arrived into the slot.

The game started up, playing a little song to dance along too and arrows started appearing signalling us to start.

Me and Tyler both started trying to do the same moves as the arrows, we both were failing horrifically.

I looked over to Tyler and he was doing this weird dance move that I couldn't even describe, I only laughed which made me miss a few steps.

"Stop trying to distract  me." I said, taking steps left and right trying to win.

The game ended and as I suspected I won so it was my turn to choose a game.

I walked up and down, looking at different verities of games.

"Awesome, they have a claw machine." I said running up to the machine filled with plush toys.

"Three turns for one token, I don't have any tokens left." I sighed.

"Here, have mine." Tyler said, sticking out his hand with the token in it.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Positive, any way I wanna see how lucky you are." Tyler admitted and I took the token and placed it in the machine. It automatically started up, lights flashing, the machine started making music.

I grabbed the controller and started moving the claw around, pressing the button when I thought it was the right time, first time= nothing, second time= nothing.

"Come on Zoey, I thought you said you where lucky." Tyler's smart-alack comment made me need to win this.

I moved the claw around to what I was hoping was the perfect spot and I hit the button.

 The claw went down and picked up a pink, fluffy bear. It dragged it across and placed it in the box.

"Yes! I did it." I said grabbing the bear and shoving it in Tyler's face.

"Yeah, yeah whatever." Tyler said acting cool even though he just lost.

"Sorry to rain on your party kids, but the shop is closing now." The man from the counter said.

Me and Tyler left the store and I was still holding the bear.

We hopped in the car and started driving again.

"Where to now?" I asked playing with the bow on the bear.

"We were gonna go to the museum but it's probably closed by now so do you just wanna go get some food?" Tyler questioned.

"Sure, I am quite hungry." I admitted as Tyler started driving.

We drove in comfortable peace. We ended up at McDonald's.

We ordered our meals, paid for it then collected our meals and started driving.

"Want to go to the park?" Tyler asked and I said,

"Sure."

When we got to the park we went and sat at the same bench we sat on the first time we went out together.

I sat down on the bench sideways so I could see Tyler when he sat down.

Tyler soon did and started opening up all the food.

I grabbed a chicken burger and some fries and started eating.

"Have you heard the news?" Tyler asked, eating some fries.

"No, what happened?" 

"Caleb and Niomi are dating." Tyler said and my stomach dropped. This is happening way too fast.

"Really? I'm happy for them." I put a fake smile on to try and prove my point, it failed.

"Zoey, you don't have to lie to me, I know how you feel." Tyler admitted, grabbing my hands and holding them.

"Do you? Do you really know how I feel?" I snapped, Tyler's eyes full of hurt.

"Yes Zoey, I do. I had was friends with him when he was a player. I got given names because I was the only one to stay with him through out the whole faze. I was a real friend because I understood that he had feelings too." Tyler said, dropping my hands and walking off.

"Tyler. Tyler wait, I'm sorry." I yelled trying to catch up to him.

"I don't want to hear it Zoey." He spat back like a smack to the face.He got into his car and started the engine 

"How am I gonna get home?" I asked, running my hands through my hair.

"Walk." He said blankly, then he drove off.

I walked back to the food and chucked it into the nearest rubbish bin. I wasn't hungry anymore.

And then I started walking home.
