Alfie's P.O.V

"Morning Alf" Emma said to me politely.

"Morning honey"

"I've been thinking Alfie, and I know your gonna say 'I told you so', but I'll tell you anyway"

"What's going on in that little mind of yours?"

"I feel like Charleigh is waiting for me back at Caspar's house"

"That's it, she is, that's whats happening right now, she text me yesterday" I said lying to her as best I could just so she would come home.

"What's with you Alf? You seem upset and miserable" Emma asked calmly and caring.

"I can't tell you, it would spoil everything we had planned" I said realizing I had just told her we had a plan! This wasn't going to end well.

"Plan! What plan!" Emma spoke in a concerned manner.

"Well, I suppose we, I mean I, better tell you now"

"Yeah, you better do Alfie!"

"Look, I'm sorry. We ALL wanted you to come back for the party, it's going to be the best party ever. With everyone there."

"I don't know what to do! I thought about going back, but then I thought how much they would 'get over' the fact of me been gone"

"Come, with me! Come back home, I need you to!"

"I have no clue what to do Alfie"

"Will this change your mind: Charleigh and your parents are on their way back home for your no longer 'surprise party'. If we don't go back today, we won't get back in time for the party tomorrow evening. It's a long drive and we're in the middle of no where!"

"OMG, what have I done? I've left my best friend I've ever had and my parents! They haven't done anything wrong, it wasn't them at all" Emma said putting me at ease.

"This is what I've been trying to say, sort of"

"Pack your bags Alfie, we're going home!"

"Thank God!"

"Less of that though, It's not too late to change my mind"

"Sorry, sorry. I'll zip it'."

Emma shot me the most deadening look ever! Her face went pale and hung, her eyes turned evil. Also, her eyebrows turned totally upside down. I don't know how to respond, I don't feel like I've done anything wrong. Maybe Emma still isn't the 'one' for me....

Emma's P.O.V

I felt a sudden jolt in my spine as I sat bolt upright, thinking about home this morning. I had to get back, but I also needed Alfie to say something about home so that it would seem like he persuaded me to come back.

When Alfie spoke he told me 'they' had a plan! I was so shocked that Alfie would just go make a plan behind my back, but it turns out it was for a good reason (my party of course). I got the whole plan out of him and decided to just tell him that I wanted to go home. He was so thrilled!

I'm packing my bags at the minute and we are hoping to set off asap. Around here you have to drive miles to get to any shop, which is nice once in a while. But I ran out of clean underwear so ended up going commando! Not something you wanna do, let me tell you.

We are packed ready to go, yay! The car is loaded with our one bag each and we have just jumped into the car. Alfie set the engine going, but nothing happened.

"Well done clever clogs! You forgot to put fuel in the Land Rover! You idiot" Emma screeched in my ear!

"It's not my fault we're in the middle of no where, you drove here!"

"Just, drop it. It's all your fault"

"My fault? How is it my fault? We are in the middle of no where and that is my fault is it?"

"I'm sorry Alf, I love you and all, but..... never mind, it's not important...."

"I'll ask you again, what's going on in that little mind of yours"

"YOU! You are going on in my mind! You and that other woman!"

"Me? I said I was sorry, and I ran away with you. What more do you want?"

"That's the point thought Alfie, boyfriends are supposed to keep family together! Not let people run away, and even worse, run away with me."

"Look, I'm sorry. What more can I do for you to make you change your mind?"

"You can't do anything Alfie! I don't think I can stay with you...."

"WHAT? Your breaking up with me? Fine, that's it then, move on!"

A tear started to roll down his cheek and they went pink over embarassment. I have no clue what to do, should I kiss him? Should I just get out the car with my back and start to walk somewhere?

I lent towards him and gently kissed him on the cheek not knowing what to do next. Next, I grabbed my bag and hopped out the car, never taking my eyes off of Alfie, they were locked on him. Slowly and steadily I started to walk in the opposite direction of the car, he wasn't an easy person to leave. I knocked on the window once I'd got out of the car and gave him chance to wind the window down. As he did I watched him, as if it was the last time we would ever be there, together.

"Alfie, I just can't!"

"Well, guess what, you just did"

"Alfie, I can't, your the hardest person to leave"

"Just go Emma, you'll be happier without me"

"But I don't know if I will"

"Well, you'll soon find out won't you"

"I'm sorry Alfie, I never wanted our relationship to end like this"

"Well it did, and I'm sorry too but it is what it is"

"Thank you Alfie"

"Don't bother, the least I could do is get out of your life for good"

"Alfie, please don't. You know I love you, it's just not working"

"Emma, just go. There is no point getting my hopes up that you will change your mind because I know you just won't."

"Okay, I'll just turn around and walk away"

"And how are you planning on getting home?"

"Why do you care, I'll find a way. Anyway, you've got no fuel in your car so how are you planning on getting home?"

"I'm going to ring a garage, simple as that"

"And I'm gonna ring Caspar who was right all along"

"Of course you are Emma."

"So, I guess this is goodbye then Alfie"

"Bye then" Alfie said devastated.

"Bye" I exclaimed.

"Bye"

"Bye"

"Bye"

"Just go Emma, your making it worse for both of us"

I stepped backwards and turned around stepping into the road. I heard a sudden screech of car tires and boom, I was out like a light!

Alfie's P.O.V

My favourite person in the whole world had just told me she was leaving forever!

I watched as she stepped into the road and suddenly turned around, the screech of car tires and then she was laying there. On the solid ground, no movement! I had no clue what to do, the car that had hit her was long gone now. We were alone in the middle of no where with a car that had no fuel and our phones were dead because we'd been in a field for days on end. From what I could see from the drivers seat there was a little blood crawling across her face!

"Please let this be a nightmare!"....
