Caspar's P.O.V

    I've just woke up along with Alfie, Emma was stirring but wasn't awake yet. The nurse came through at about 6:30am, it was the day before Emma's birthday.

"Emma" The nurse whispered gently.

Emma started to open her eyes! It was like a miracle.

"What's going on?" Emma said as if she had no clue where she was or what was going on.

"You got hit by a car, everything is going to be fine" I said reassuring Emma everything is going to be okay.

"Am I hurt?"

"You're going to be fine, but you're in hospital for now" I told Emma.

"Who are you?"

"I'm your brother, Caspar"

"Caspar, I don't know you"

"Never mind" I said.

"And who's that next to you?" Emma asked puzzled.

"It's Alfie, your....friend....boy....friend....boyfriend"

"I have a boyfriend?"

"Yes, yes you do"

"Oh"

"Hey Emma" Alfie said reaching out to grab Emma's hand and perch on the edge of her hospital bed.

"So, I'm Emma?"

Yes, Emma, you are" The nurse said nicely.

The nurse turned to me and whispered, "She may take a while to recover, don't get your hopes up" She said giving me a half smile.

"What's your name by the way?" I asked the nurse.

"Bailey, your name?"

"Caspar, and your hair looks nice"

"Thank you, you're not too bad yourself, I'll be back soon to give Emma another check up"

"Ok, thank you" I said shyly.

No offence to Emma but she looked dreadful! Her face was mostly purple, she had cuts and bruises all over her body. She had broke a bone in her hip, 3 of her ribs and broke her knee. She also cracked her skull which caused her to have brain damage that could scar her for life. I doubt she will be able to walk for a while.

"Can I sit up?"

"No, not really Emma. You've broke your hip and some ribs so it would hurt to sit up" I told Emma.

"Oh, please? I feel fine"

"You have to have your operation on your hip first Emma, sorry" I told her.
