Chapter 1-The First Dreams

His tall figure was looking at me from across the room. We were at a party. I was sitting alone, my friend had found her boyfriend for the slow music playing. I had spotted him earlier this evening and ever since our eye contact has barely broken. He had longer dark brown hair that swept out under a white SnapBack. His eyes were a very dark brown I could tell, even from this far distance. His lips were shaped in a perfect, indescribable way. A simple white shirt covered his upper body with dark wash jeans covering the lower.

I smiled at him and he took that as his cue. He ended the conversation he had been having with one of his friends and started pushing through the crowd to me. He finally got to me, returning my smile. My heart started beating a mile per minute. I was not popular, so this sort of interaction was new to me.

"Would you like to dance?" he asked holding out his hand. His voice was deep.

I smiled, "I'd love to." I took his hand.

He lead me to the dance floor and put his arms on my waist. I snaked mine around his neck and we danced. This is when I realized how much taller he was than me. I stood barely five feet, and he had to be at least five-seven. I looked up into his eyes and confirmed they were that dark chocolate color I had guessed. They sparkled like no other. His lips formed up into a smile revealing pearly white teeth.

"Like what you see?" his smile turned into a smirk as he caught me staring.

"Uh.." my throat was dry, I couldn't speak.

A chuckle vibrated his chest, which I felt on mine. The song eventually ended he lead me off of the dance floor and back to my previous seat.

"Can I have your number?" he asked. I nodded and we exchanged numbers. He then turned to leave, but quickly faced me again. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. What's your name?"

"Audrey," I barely managed to get out.

"Audrey," he repeated. "That's a beautiful name, it matches you perfectly." he smiled then turned to leave again.

"Wait!" I softly pulled on his arm. "What's your name?"

He smiled and opened his mouth to speak.

"AUDREY WAKE THE HELL UP!" this came from my cousin, Jasmine, who was staying with us.

That was it. I never found out his name, but I have dreams about him every night.

I could spot her from across room, sitting alone. She had long brown hair. I wasn't quite sure of her eye color from this far distance, but I would guess they were brown. She was sitting down but she looked way shorter than I was, which I liked. She was wearing a lime green tank top and fancy looking jeans that hugged her curves perfectly.

When she smiled at me, a dimple appeared on the right side. I decided to go talk to her. Quickly, I ended the conversation I was having with my friend and started walking over to her. I put on a smile of my own once I got to her. I could tell she was nervous.

"Would you like to dance?" I asked hoping that she would get over her nervousness that way.

"I'd love to." she said smiling and taking the hand I had offered her. Her voice was sweet and innocent.

I lead her to the dance floor and put my arms around her waist. Hers soon wrapped around my neck and we danced. She was much, much shorter than me. I would guess five foot, I'm about five-six. I looked down into her eyes to find they were a beautiful color of brown. Her eyes were observing me intently.

"Like what you see?" I smirked.

"Uh.." she was speechless. I sort of liked that I had that effect on her.

I chuckled. The song was soon over so I lead her back to her seat.

"Can I have your number?" she asked me. I nodded and we exchanged phone numbers. I then turned to leave when I felt her hand on my shoulder. I turned around to face her again. "What's your name?"

"Brent," I said smiling. "What's yours?"

She smiled back and opened her mouth to speak.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

My alarm clock woke me up.

That was it. I never found out her name, but I have dreams about her every night.
