"I'm all yours"

"So darling, darling stand. By me. Stand by me."

I can remember your heart beating softly in my ear as we laid on the ground in one of the rare days where the sun was shining down on us. The rays casting an angelic glow on your face despite your hellish intentions.

Your heart beat resting underneath my palm and your lips pressed softly to my neck. I remember the way your hands tangled in my hair, how your eyes softened, how your breath felt; I remember everything at once.

I remember your wandering eyes and for the first time, I remember the pang of jealousy hit. I remember the way my blood started to boil, I remember the way I pushed against your beating heart and stood on my own two feet, ready to move but, you. You caught grip of my waist and pulled me towards you despite my struggling and despite my curses and cries.

"Evelyn."

I halted as your calloused hand brushed my cheek. I surrendered. My white flag was up and waving as soon as your voice called my name. And you knew it.

"I'm all yours."

And I believed you.
