So that conversation with Dean was...productive. Anyway, we find out there's another case a few states over so we drive there. We get to the house where the death happened. It turns out that a woman's husband was eating a chocolate and started coughing up razor blades. So we're wearing our FBI uniforms right now and Dean is looking around the house for anything that could help us whether is sulphur, hex bag or whatever, while me and Sam are interviewing Mrs Wallace, the woman. By the way it's a Halloween in a few days.
"How many razor blades did they find?" I ask.
"2 on the floor, one in his stomach and one was stuck in his throat. He swallowed four of them, how is that even possible? The candy was never in the oven." Mrs Wallace says as we look over at Dean who is looking in her oven.
"We just have to be thorough Mrs Wallace." Dean says as he closes the oven door.
"Did the police find any razors in the rest of the candy?" Sam asks.
"No, I mean I don't know, I don't think so. I just, I can't believe it. You hear urban legends about this stuff but it actually happens?"
"More than you might imagine." I say. We look over at Dean who is now standing by the fridge and he's holding up a hex bag. Great! Witches! My favorite...can't you just feel the sarcasm. He then puts it away in his pocket and walks towards us.
"Mrs Wallace, did Luke have any enemies?" Sam asks.
"Enemies?"
"Anyone who might've held a grudge against him?" I ask.
"What do you mean?"
"Co-workers, neighbours, maybe a woman." Sam says.
"Are you suggesting that he had an affair?"
"Is it possible?" I ask.
"No, no Luke would never."
"I'm very sorry, we just have to consider all possibilities."
"If someone wanted to kill my husband don't you think they would've found a better way than a razor in a piece of candy he might eat."
"I'm very sorry, thank you for your time." Sam says. Then we leave to a motel, check in and change into our normal clothes. Dean decides he's going to leave. Sam opened the hex bag to see what was inside and starts doing research on it. I help him with that, I start going through a book and he looks on his laptop. I find something in this book. I pick up the dried up plant that was in the bag and look closely at it. Dean then walks through the door.
"Really? After that guy choked down all those razor blades?" Sam asks Dean who is eating candy.
"It's Halloween man."
"Yeah, for us everyday is Halloween." I say.
"Don't be a downer, anything interesting?"
"Well we're on a witch hunt, that's for sure." Sam says.
"But this isn't your typical hex bag." I say.
"No?" Dean asks.
"Gold thread."
"An herb that's been extinct for 200 years." Sam says.
"And this is Celtic," I say picking up the little coin, "I mean, not a new age knock off. Looks like the real deal. Like six hundred years old real." Dean picks up a bone that was in the bag and smells it. "And that is the charred bone of a new born baby."
Dean just makes a disgusted sound a puts it back.
"Gross." He says.
"Relax, it's at least 100 years old." Sam says as he picks it up and looks at it.
