New case. New town. We walk into a comic book store, this place is super nerdy, but we're on a job so we're being professional. We're all dressed up in our FBI outfits. We walk straight to the guy behind the check-out desk.

"Uh, can I help you?" The guy asks as we take out our badges.

"I sure hope so, Agents Diyeung, Shaw and Malone. We just need to ask you a few questions." Dean says introducing us.

"Have you noticed anything strange in the building the last couple of days?" Sam asks.

"Like what?" The guy asks.

"Some other tenants report flickering lights?" I ask.

"Uh, I don't think so, why?"

"What about noises?" Sam asks.

"Any skittering in the walls, kinda like rats?" I ask.

"And the FBI is investigating a rodent problem?"

"What about cold spots?" Sam asks. "Feel any sudden drops of temperature?" The guy just sits back a bit and smiles.

"I knew it." He says. "You guys are larping aren't you?

"Excuse me?" Me and Dean say.

"You're fans."

"Fans of what?" Sam asks.

"What is larping?" Dean asks.

"Like you don't know." Um, actually no, we don't know, otherwise we wouldn't have asked. "Live action role playing, and pretty hardcore too." He says referring to our outfits.

"Sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about." I say.

"You're asking questions like the buildings haunted, like those characters from the books, what are they called uh..Supernatural. Two guys and a girl, fake ID's, with rock aliases, hunt down ghosts, demons, vampires. What are they're names, uh, Steve, Derk and Amanda, uh Sal, Dane and Ashlynn."

"Sam, Dean and Ashlee." Sam says.

"That's it." The guys says.

"You're saying this is a book?" Dean asks.

"Books, it was a series. It didn't sell a lot of copies though. It kinda had more of an underground cult following." He walks over to a shelf of books. "Let's see uh, there." He says as he pulls out one of the books. "That's the first one I think."

"Supernatural by Carver Edlund." I say looking at the front cover of the book. Two guys and a girl on the front cover, the one guy who I'm guessing is Sam has long hair that's blowing in the wind, the other guy has a girl hanging onto his shoulder.

"Along a lonely California highway, a mysterious woman in white lures men to their deaths." Dean says reading the back of the book.

"Give me that." Sam says. "We're going to need all the copies of Supernatural you've got."  So the guy goes to find all of the copies that he has and we buy them all. We take them back to the motel room that we rented before we came into town and start reading. Sam ended up on his computer doing research on the author, while me and Dean keep reading.

"This is freakin' insane." Dean says.

"How does this guy know all this stuff?" I ask.

"You got me." Sam says.

"Everything is in here, I mean everything. From the racist truck, to me having sex. I'm full frontle in here, dude. Both me and Ash are." Dean says.

"How come we haven't heard of him before?" I ask.

"They're pretty obscure. I mean, almost zero circulation, started in '05, at least he put out a couple dozen before going bankrupt, and the last one 'No Rest For the Wicked' ends with you going to hell." Sam explains while passing over the laptop to Dean
