Chapter 4 - Why

Odette's P.O.V.

"Who are you?" I barely manage to say through my clenched teeth.

"My name is Mark." like that helps.

"And my name is Jason." says someone behind Mark in the shadows. I get a little worried. Why are they here? I certainly didn't ask for this.

What if they want to hurt me?, maybe their looking for money?. My heart starts racing and I start panicking. The hurt is still there but the worry that I have for myself is greater.

"You don't have to be scared of us. We are here to let you know of what you posses."

"What?, what do I posses?." I'm not catching the gist. Argh there my stomach goes again, I squeeze my stomach tighter.

"I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly What it is but I do know that you posses a magical power that you didn't know you had."

His words process in my head, but I can't make anything of it.

"What do you mean?" I start to squeeze my eyes shut the pain is too much. I don't think I can take it much longer.

"I would like to tell you but your clearly in pain. You need help, what is the reason for you being in the hospital, this is a medical facility right?"

"Yes. I.... My stomach hurts." I faintly say.

"Jason call Master Derek, say she's physically ill and we don't know what to do."

"Alright." my eyes slightly open and I see the other guy pull out a wand and say a spell that brings up a a screen thing that shows in the air like a tv but with no physical properties.

Then a man is shown on the other side.

"Master Derek we found her but she is physically ill and Mark and I don't know what to do."

"Well first ask her what Is wrong with her."

"We already know that her stomach hurts."

"Is there a sickness that Is causing it? Or is it just stomach pain?"

"Did you hear that? Is there a sickness causing it or is it just stomach pain?" says Jason I think.

"Its... Just...stomach....pain.." I groan.

"There has to be more to it. I see her from here and she looks like she is in a critical stage...... It reminds me of the Prince when he first went through physical change.... What if it's because of powers?"

"It might be." says Mark

"In that case one of you has to give her a potion. I hope it works. No magical creature goes through pain when they gain their powers. Maybe she's just too much of a mortal."

"What potion do we use Master?"
Mark says.

"One of you two needs to coke back and to get it because only I have the authority to make it."

"Jason go. You can use magic to get there faster."

"Your right. I'll be back as soon as I can."

My head hurts and I feel nauseous now. I feel pain in all my organs. I need rest. I lay my head back on my pillow and breathe in and out. I'm starting to run out of breath. My lungs need more air, the room is spinning in my eyes and I feel dizzy.

I feel the color from my face every second fading.

"Jason will come back soon. Don't worry."

I barely heard the words he said.

My eyes are closed and begin to drift off somewhere peaceful.

All I hear are faint voices everywhere.

I'm lifted up immediately. Someone shaking my shoulders. One of the guys is shaking my shoulders and is yelling at me.

"Girl!, wake up!. You need to drink this potion!"

I blink over and over and then the boy in front of me lifts a cup up to my mouth and I drink from it. I drink until it's all gone. It tastes like water in my mouth.

Once I'm done I.... Woah, this can't be happening. My stomach does not hurt anymore my nausea is gone my head ache,the dizziness....it's gone.

I feel normal again.

"What are you two?" astonished at What they've just accomplished.

The boy named Mark steps up.
"Jason and I are elementals, but we hold greater power than that too, Jason can perform magic, and so can I but I'm not as good as he is."

"What?... How is that even possible?, there's no such thing as elementals."

"Well if there wasn't then we wouldn't be standing in front of you right now, would we?"

"Its hard to believe but seeing one of perform magic. I'm at my wits end."

"Alright. Well you my dear are just like Jason and I, your an elemental, although we yet to find what power you posses. Whether it be fire, ice, water, wind, or a special power."

"Okay, but what do I do in order to gain my power because I know I don't have any right now."

"Jason and I were sent by master Derek to train you until your ready to go back to your place of birth."

"Place of birth?"

"Girl. Not one single magical creature was born on earth. We were all born in the beloved planet Astoria."

"Oh, but well how did I end up on earth then?"

"Long ago there was a war , we won but the enemy in revenge had kidnapped many of our citizens and scattered them all around the universe so you must have been one of those who was kidnapped."

"Oh well That does make sense. Okay. When do we start my training?"

"Immediately because King Zais wants you at our planet soon. The sooner the better, I was commanded."

"Okay."

Mark comes close to me and extends his arms. He picks me up from three hospital bed, bridal style.

He nods at Jason and we both go out the window and Mark starts.....flying.
A fear of falling to my death comes through me. I wrap my arms around marks neck and hold on tighter.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here." he says So soft that only I can hear it. Shivers come quickly up my back.

We go to a reserved farm land area. Jason once again takes out his wand as Mark and I land. Jason soon makes a house. A house that I walk into with the two boys. Its just like a regular modern house. It's incredible.

"Get some rest. We start training tomorrow." Mark commands.

I look through a window and I see the Sun starting to come up.

"Don't you mean today. The Sun is coming up."

"No I mean tomorrow. You get all of today and tonight to sleep."

"Okay."
