Chapter 6 - Your Power?

Odette's P.O.V.

My eyes so heavy, I wake up, my head pounding loudly. Where am I? Oh that's right. I'm here being rescued or something. I'm so confused, I'd wish someone explain this to me.

I get off the bed and start walking into a hallway and down stairs.

"Hello?" I call out.

"So your awake." I jump, there's someone behind me. I turn around to see the boy that was with me this morning.

"Yes, what time is it?" standing strait now I ask.

"It's 3:00 pm in this section off the human world."

"Thank you. May I ask when I'll be returning home?"

"Yes, the answer is soon."

Phew, I'm about done with crazy. I just want to go home.

"Eat something. You threw up a lot this morning, I need you to understand that Jason and I don't have time to waste, the crowning of the new king will be soon and we must attend."

"Why must you attend?" I ask. It's not my fault I threw up. It just, happened.

"If we don't we will be thrown in prison."

"Oh." that's a bit harsh. Well in that case they need hurry.

"As I said before, eat something and then we will begin on knowing what your power is."

"M..my...power?" I stutter. I have a power?

"Yes, it's one of many things. I won't list them all but your probability is to get fire or water, maybe wind, those are the common powers."

"Oh, I uh didn't know know that."

"Well we wasted 15 minutes talking so hurry up and eat, Jason and I will be waiting outside."

"Okay." I look over to the kitchen and I walk to the fridge I open it's door and look up and down, I'll make myself a sandwich. I get ham and cheese, I look to the right and find many bread packages so I open one and take two pieces of bread out and lay them on the counter I take the ham and cheese and put one of each on the bread.

I take my sandwich and start eating while I sit down on a table chair.
I quickly finish and I go back to the fridge and get a water bottle out. I drink almost half way and I walk outside.

"You've finally finished." the other boy says.

"Alright no time for talk, let a begin. First introduction." a different boy says.

"Well my name is Odette. What are yours?"

"My name is Mark" says the boy on the right.

"My name is Jason." says the boy on the left.

"Next is to give her proper wardrobe." Mark says. I look down at myself and realize I'm still wearing the hospital robe with shorts and a t-shirt under with no shoes. Then I look up to Mark he's wearing a full body suit that looks sort of elastic but very athletic. The only thing showing is his head.

"Do I give her the same clothing as the academy girls wear?" Jason says.

"Yeah, exact same one." Mark says.

I look over too Jason and he takes his wand out and thinks of something before he strikes me with a ray of magic.

My body lifts up and my clothing changes to the same thing that Jason and Mark were wearing.

I am back on the ground and I touch my hair and found it to be in a ponytail. My shoes, I don't have any. My feet are inside the body suit and this suit seems to be pretty good protection for my feet.

"Thanks." I say

"No problem." Jason says.

"Okay let's go farther out so that we have room to work on." Mark says.

"Okay, you want to run?" Jason implies.

"Well since we can't fly and leave one behind. Yeah."

We three start running. Lucky for me, I'm a fast runner. We run about a mile or so and then we stop and see that there isn't anything around us. Its open land.

"Here's good, let's start now." Mark says.

"What do you want me to do?" I ask

"Well what do you love?"

"That's a weird question." I reply.

"Let me rephrase this. Do you like going to the beach?"

"Oh yes I love the beach."

"Well then let's try making some water appear." Mark implies.

"How?" I ask.

"Shut your eyes, take in a deep breath and think of water in your head. Feel water in your soul."

I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I think of the ocean waves, I concentrate harder.

I start to feel something hovering me.
I open my eyes and as I do they get big because there is water circulating me. I look at my hands and see the water is not touching me. Its like 3 inches away from my hands following my every movement. Its amazing.

"You did it, on the first try too." marks says as he smiles at my accomplishment.

"Now to control it. Its supposed to come on in an instant without trying to think it like light switch." says Jason.

"Okay." I let go of the feeling and the water immediately disappears. I think of water for a few seconds and it comes back. I don't stop thinking about water but something inside me makes it stop then I feel my soul quickly bring it back in a second.

"Amazing." Jason says.

"Try to shoot at something." Mark says. Jason creates a wooden crate.

"Shoot it." Mark says sternly.

I instantly power up. I punch the air in the same direction the crate is. It breaks into pieces.

"Good." Jason says.

I loom over to the both of them and they flinch and Mark is on fire and so is Jason. Only for a few seconds.

"We need to go. I don't think we can finish training." says Jason.

"Jason your right. We need to go. Lets pack up."

"Is it because of that ceremony?" I wonder.

"That's exactly why. Its probably a week and a half from now." Mark says

Jason takes out his wand and makes the house disappear.

"Let's go." Mark reaches a hand out to me.

"Right now?, like this?"

"Yes, why not?, take my hand because the only way is to fly there and you can't fly."

"Okay." I take Mark's hand and we all lift up into the air and Jason and Mark start flying while I hang onto Mark and Jason.

Looks like I'm going to the crowning ceremony.

Me: well that's that. She can control water yay.
