Chapter 7 - Cancelled

Odette P.O.V.

It's been hours. I'm tired and my arms ache. But at least were finally landing.

It's daylight. We arrive in front of an enormous castle. I can't believe my eyes, it's so beautiful. I stand up strait and the three of us start walking towards the entrance.

"I already talked with master Derek and he understands. But he's happy that we found her, and he said to bring her to the palace because that's where he is. I think he also said he was having tea with the king."

"Okay good." were getting closer to golden gates and you can see a beautiful rose garden on the right side.

As we arrive in front of the gates I see that there is a finger print scanner. Jason scans his finger and the gates open. We walk further until were in a hallway with a red carpet. I follow Mark and Jason as they make there way to a huge cafeteria type thing.

"Ahh you have arrived!" says an old man that is sure to be the king in his robes and the obvious crown on his head. I'm looking through the shoulders of Jason and Mark. I'm behind them and they probably can't see me and that's good because I'm way too nervous.

"Where is the girl?" a younger but yet old man asks.

"She right here." Mark says and they step aside leaving me in the middle. I calm down and bow. Then so do Mark and Jason.

"My dear we have been looking for you. I am king Zais." says the king.

I bow again.

"But please sit down! I want to know more about you!" the king has a very loud voice.

I blush and pull out a chair and sit down.

"Tell me, what is your power my dear." the king smiles.

"I..."

"Wait, where is your necklace?" the king asks.

"Necklace?" I ask.

"Your highness we came before completing the training because since we were out we have had the warning call for the ceremony."

"Ahh yes. Very well that was a good choice. Now she is home. But what is her power my boy Mark?"

"Her power is water your highness."
Mark says.

"Well then, does she know how to turn it on?" the king asks

"Yes she started her training today and got it on her first try."

"That's wonderful! Let's see it." the king says.

I look at Mark and he nods. I get up and move to an open space in front of them.

I don't think I just do and the water forms. I keep it up. I look at the king and smile.

The king smiles and so does everyone else but then the expression of the king changes. His eyebrows furrow.

I stop and the water fades.

"I wonder...." the king says.

"Huh? What is it my king?" says Master Derek.

"Fire!" the king yells at me.

I'm scared. I instantly feel something within me. I look at my hands and there is fire. I look around me and fire circulates me without burning or touching me. What? I thought I controlled water!

I look up and find everyone with bulging eyes. Everyone is as surprised as I am, possibly even more.

"That's impossible!" Master Derek shouts.

"I... How did I do that?"

"Same way you power water. Its one of your powers. Which is what I was wondering. My dear I can sense everyone's capabilities in power. I can sense what powers people have. Which is why I yelled fire."

"Oh."

"But my king. Only kings can posses more than one power!" Master Derek shouts.

"Quiet! Looks like I found a new heir." the king yells then chuckles.

Me?.... Is he talking about me?.....

"Sir Derek. She can control more than one power because she is a royal. There has only been one other queen in the past centuries."

"That makes sense. I apologize for my behavior your highness."

"Its alright Derek. This doesn't happen everyday. Although we've never had a royal heir that hasn't grown up in this castle."

"Your highness what about the ceremony?" Mark asks.

"Ah yes. We'll have to inform Zoran. The ceremony is here by cancelled."

"I know I am not royalty." I say.

"Oh?, what makes you say that?" says the king.

"I haven't grown in this castle and I barely even know of my powers." I reply.

"Nevertheless. You are an heir to the throne. We will tell Zoran that he has competition." says the king.

"Okay."

"My dear don't worry, I know Zoran. He won't cause non sense, he is a kind and compassionate boy, I will personally plan a meeting for you both."

"I.... Yes my king." I bow. I'm sure I am not going to win. This Zoran boy has had years of training I suppose. I Haven't even had a full day.

"Well then let's start on making you Torsia's New Princess. Helena!" the king laughs with excitement while I just worry and have inner screams because I'm freaking out on the inside.

A maiden quite young of age with light baby blue hair and white completion comes and bows before king Zais.

"Yes your highness?" says the maiden.

"Prepare this girl for the royal banquet that will take place 3 days from today."

"Yes your highness. Come with me uh?" the maiden chuckles with happiness.

"Odette." I smile.

"Odette come with me." she smiles.

We go further into the cafeteria and I see a long staircase before me.

"Can you fly?" she asks.

"No." I reply.

We start going up the stairs and it's so long my feet begin to ache.

"Sorry your highness it's a long staircase to a royal room."

"Highness?" I ask.

"You are a princess now. You are royalty." she laughs.

"Oh, I'm sorry I'm going to try and get use to that." I say with slight chuckles peeking out.

We stop at a long hallway with marble floors and a huge door at the end with neatly designed patterns.

"Is that my room?" I ask surprised.

"Yes your highness."
