“That is so cute!!!” Addy gushed as we sat in my apartment watching movies on my couch. “Has he texted you or anything since then?” she asked as she shoveled a mass amount of popcorn into her mouth.
“Practically non-stop since then actually” I said as my doorbell rang loudly through my apartment and she squealed.
“What if that is him!” she shouted and I couldn’t keep the smile off me face as she freaked out about it being him.
“Ad, its not him! He doesn’t know where I live” I said walking over to my door and opening it. “How can I help you?” I asked the man who waited outside my door.
“Are you Victoria Johnson?” he asked and I nodded shortly before a smile of relief covered his face. “Alright these are for you!” he said handing me a box and a rose before saying goodbye and leaving.
“What is it?!” Addy asked and I shrugged before setting it on my kitchen counter. Opening the brown box I saw a note along with an envelope pinned to it and a bracelet in the shape of an angel wing, bent around my wrist. Picking up the note I quickly glanced at my best friend before reading it.
Tori,
I am having a small concert tonight and I was hoping you would come and watch me, front row? I know you missed my last one so your sister could go and I figured that if we are going to be seeing more of one another you should see what I do for a living first hand. As for the bracelet I hope you like it, my sister helped me pick it out for you!
See you tonight,
Cody <3
“Tori, you are so fucking lucky” Addy whined as she read the letter over my shoulder and the grin on my face just wouldn’t go away. “The bracelet is pretty” she said picking it up before handing it to me to put on.
“It is beautiful” I said admiring it from around my wrist and Addy sighed. “What is it?”
“What am I gonna do for the rest of the night now?” she asked and I couldn’t help but frown.
“Don’t even worry about it, I will stay here like I promised you” I said sitting down and hitting the play button on the remote so the movie would continue.
“Are you nuts!” she said turning off the tv before looking me right in the eyes. “A famous pop star wants you to see him perform live, front row, and you wanna stay back here with me?”
“Ad, I promised you a girls night tonight and Im not gonna back out of it for a boy” I said firmly trying to turn the television on but she stopped me.
“We can do it another night, Tor. This is Cody Simpson we are talking about, it is forgivable” she said pulling me off of the couch and I laughed at her as she drug me to the bathroom. “Now I will get your outfit you just do your make-up and hopefully you will be ready in time”
Addy shut the door behind me, leaving me to get ready. I did my usual make up routine with a foundation, cover-up eye liner and mascara before she threw an outfit at me that consisted of a teal dress with a brown belt and a pair of brown boots for me to wear. I slipped the sun dress over my head before sliding the belt around my waist.
“Addy, I need socks!” I shouted through the door before it was opened and a pair of black socks was thrown in my face. “Thanks, boo” I said finishing my outfit off with the boots. Turning to see myself in the mirror I smiled seeing how nice I looked in the outfit Addy had put together. Once I decided I was ready I walked out of the bathroom and Addy whistled at me.
“Now don’t you look dapper this fine evening” she joked, handing me the concert ticket. “He wont be able to take his eyes off of you tonight” she said as we walked out of my apartment .
“I hope not” I chirped as we walked down the stairs and she rolled her eyes. “Alright I will text you later, Addy” I said hugging her once we reached my jeep before I drove off.
Pulling into the parking lot, I was surprised at how crowded it was. He had said it was a small concert but I soon realized he had toured with Justin Bieber so small could be a lot larger than I had imagined.
I patiently waited in line just to kill time before the concert would actually start and after an hour of waiting I was escorted to the front row, center stage.
“So how did you get these tickets?” one of the girls next to me asked and I smiled at her bright pink Cody Simpson shirt.
“I just know the right people, how about you?” I asked and she nodded before looking up at the stage, taking it all in.
“Lucky you, I won a contest otherwise I would be in the back” she said and I looked at her, understanding how she felt. My family wasn’t very rich so if I wanted something I had to earn it myself.
“Im Tori by the way” I said holding out my hand to her which she took, lightly shaking it.
“Melissa, oh my gosh, its starting!” she said finishing it out with a loud scream along with everyone else in the arena.
James Bond like music filled the arena with the loud screams of girls when Cody stepped out, doing an introduction dance. “Gosh he sure likes James Bond” I said and Melissa laughed a me.
“Its his favorite movie!” she said and I shook my head before turning to her.
“No its Hangover and Aladdin” I corrected accidentally and she looked at me confused. “Im a huge fan, just to poor to buy his merchandise” I covered quickly and she nodded before we turned back to the stage as he started singing “Wish U Were Here” . The inner fan in me couldn’t be contained as I watched him perform as I started to dance and sing along with him and every other girl in the arena.
I watched as he danced around the stage and sang his heart out, the more I watched him the more I felt myself falling for him. I noticed his eyes scanning the crowd in front of him and I secretly hoped he was looking for me. My hopes were settled when we locked eyes and he smiled brightly before sending me a wink making Melissa freak out along with every girl near me, convinced that he had winked at them.
Cody continued to sing through his list of songs until the chords of “Not Just You” began to play.
“Now I was hoping to bring someone special up here for this song, who to pick?” he asked before looking right at me and I shook my head before pointing at Melissa without her noticing and he smirked. “I think I have found just the right girl, hello whats your name?” he asked bending down in front of her and she squealed out her name before he helped her on stage.
Watching him serenade her was odd because I couldn’t help but want it to be me. I know it was stupid and I realized that the moment it crossed my mind. I get to talk to him whenever I want and this girl doesn’t She deserves to be up there with him for at least a song.
“Oh my god, that was amazing!” Melissa said after she was escorted back to her seat and I smiled at her.
“What was it like?!” I asked and she just gushed about how amazing it had been until Cody began to sing “On My Mind”.
“Okay everyone I have a few more songs for you, so who is ready to hear what I did all day?” he asked and everyone screamed when they realized he was going to sing “All Day”. “Today all I have been doing is thinking about this girl who is just amazing. This song goes out to you, love, for being in my head and heart all day” Cody said and my heart stopped as he looked directly at me while he spoke.
I made sure to sing along the whole time he was singing until he pulled the microphone away from his mouth as the opening to “Teach Me How to Dougie” played and everyone screamed thinking he was going to dance to it. Instead he ran over to the edge of the stage and dropped to his knees so he was face to face with me……………….
