I made sure to sing along the whole time he was singing until he pulled the microphone away from his mouth as the opening to “Teach Me How to Dougie” played and everyone screamed thinking he was going to dance to it. Instead he ran over to the edge of the stage and dropped to his knees so he was face to face with me……………….
“Tori will you be my girlfriend?” he asked quickly and I looked at him shocked that he was doing this right now. The cameras were pointed at us so we were on the big screens for everyone to see and even though he had tried to keep people from hearing his question the microphone had picked it up for everyone to hear. The crowd of people around me went silent, shocked at what he was doing.
“I would be so stupid to say no” I said and a grin burst out on his face just before he leaned over, grabbing the back of my neck and pulling me into a quick kiss, his tongue had found a way to get tangled with mine in the short span of time before he sprung away from me to finish the song.
“Oh my god” Melissa said from beside me, breaking me out of the trance I had been in. Everyone around me was just watching me, amazed at what had happened. They clearly didn’t know how to react to what they had seen. The girl behind me had been video taping the concert and had caught the whole thing on camera, and it looked like it was being put up on YouTube as the concert continued on. “That seriously didn’t just happen” Melissa said obviously shocked and a nervous laugh fell from my mouth.
“So in case any of you missed my big question just now I have some news to share with all of you” Cody said directing one of the camera men towards me. “I would like to introduce all of you to my girlfriend Tori. I want everyone to be nice to her! I asked her out a few seconds ago and she said yes, making me the happiest man alive. Say hi, babe” Cody encouraged, bending down so I could speak into the microphone taped to his face as the camera man filmed the two of us.
“Hello everybody” I said waving at the camera man, noticing I was on the big screens. “Are you enjoying the concert?” I asked and the whole place erupted in screams.
“What do you guys think about me singing to my lovely girlfriend?” Cody asked and everyone screamed, the girls around me were shouting for him to do it and he smiled. Standing up he pulled off his blazer, throwing it to one of the stage hands before picking up his acoustic guitar. “This wasn’t on the usual set list but the band and I worked out a special set for this particular concert” Cody said walking back over to the edge of the stage so he was in front of me. Laying the guitar on the stage he pulled his pants up before sitting down.
“Cody, you don’t have to do this” I said and he shook his head before putting the guitar in his lap.
“I know that, but I want to, love” he said leaning forward to kiss me quickly on the lips. “Okay guys I hope you enjoy this” he said moving forward a little so he was closer to the edge before the band started playing. “Crazy but True” filled the arena and my heart was going crazy. I looked around seeing that everyone was watching the two of us and I couldn’t help but think how lucky I was. Turning back to face Cody I noticed he was watching me with a huge grin on his face making my heart melt.
“Yeah that’s my baby, that’s that’s my baby never wanna leaver her, you couldn’t pay me” Cody sang pointing at me momentarily stopping his strumming on his guitar before finishing the rest of the song with his eyes locked on mine.
“Thank you all for being such an amazing crowd tonight so for our final song I’m gonna let you all pick the song!” he said before walking to a girl in the front row. “What do you wanna hear, love?” he asked and she told him a song and he laughed. “How do you guys feel about a throw back song? Who wants to hear iYiYi?” he asked and everyone went wild.
