Chapter 8

Chaper 8
Lynn, not being able to handle all the lonliness, called up Kiara and asked her to come over since she was in no position to go over to Kiara's place instead.
Kiara had showed up at her door step within the next 15 mins of her calling. She had Dhruv by her side when Lynn had opened the door, she said she was hanging out with him when she had received Lynn's call.
Dhruv, being the gentleman that he was, on seeing Lynn crying and uncomfortable with him around, quickly kissed Kiara on the cheek and asked her to call him, when she needed to be picked up from Lynn's place and dropped at her home, and rushed off towards his car, but not before giving Lynn a reassuring smile.
Lynn, although loved Kiara, but she couldn't help but feel a little jealous of her relationship with Dhruv. Dhruv was also a jock, but he had left his player ways for Kiara, which made Lynn wonder, was Lynn herself important enough for Aaron to leave behind his player image and become a committed guy just for her.
Lynn couldn't handle school, more like she couldn't handle seeing Aaron with one his blonde bimbos hanging by his arm when she walked up to school, so she decided to skip this weeks school. She had called up her mom to tell her that she was taking a leave, to which her mom didn't show much reluctancy and said to 'go ahead and enjoy'. Kiara decided to skip school too, along with Lynn, not for the whole week, but for the next day, she said Lynn needed her 'hottest' friend around when she was going through 'boyfriend' troubles. But Aaron was far from that, she thought to herself.
Lynn and Kiara spend the next day watching Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries marathon. With lots of pizza, popcorns and Diet Coke, the girls felt like they were gonna burst with all the junk food. They concluded their day with a bucket of chocolate ice cream each.
Lynn didn't want Kiara to leave, but the constant ring of Kiara's phone indicated that Dhruv wanted to see her, and her best friend was just as impatient as him to see him.
"You should go, you know, he's gonna kill me the next time I see him, if you don't go now." Lynn said, a small smile playing on her lips. "Are you sure? You don't look like you're in the condition to stay alone for the night..." asked Kiara, giving a worried look. "As if you're gonna stay if I ask you to, which I won't, since I don't wanna die at the hands of your dear boyfriend" Lynn said faking hurt, "Fine, I'll go for now, but don't feel restricted to call me, even if it's in the middle of the night, if you need me, okay Lynn?" asked Kiara. "Ofcourse not, I'll make sure to call you at night, just to make sure that I don't become an aunt to little Dhruvs running around your house." Lynn said hugging Kiara and pushing her gently towards the front porch.
Dhruv's car was already parked on the driveway to Lynn's house, he smiled as soon as he was Kiara walking up to him, she kissed him as she sat inside the car. When the car started backing towards the road, Kiara shouted through her half open window, "By the way, Lynn we are protected!!" to which Lynn replied, shouting, "I didn't have to know that, you know!!!", she could literally see Dhruv turning a deep red, even from so far, outside the car.
She laughed and walked up to her room, not before closing the door, and checking all the windows on the ground floor to be locked.
She entered her room, switched on her room's light, changed into her night clothes, which was ofcourse, boxers and one of Aaron's T-shirts. She somehow, always found comfort in his scent, that lingered in his clothes.
The moment she dropped herself on her bed, she realised how tired she was, as her eyes drooped without her knowing it, as Aaron's scent filled her nostrils, she sighed. She heard her room's window sliding open and the light thud of someone's feet landing on her room's floor, but she didn't bother to look up, as she was half way towards 'Sleep Land'.
The last thing remembered was a light, feather-like touch on her forehead and a faint, "I love you, cupcake", before she completely lost herself in 'Sleep Land'.
The next day, Lynn woke up to the sound of her phone ringing, she groggyly opeaned her eyes, she was about to cut the call when she realised the caller id. The call was from her school.
She thought to herself, I've already informed them about my one week leave then what is up with waking me up this early when I'm on a holiday, she thought to herself as she received the call.
The call was from her class teacher, Mr.Smith who had asked her to drop by at school and collect her project papers from the reception that had been corrected and marked.
She thought for a second that dropping by school meant the risk of facing Aaron again, but then again, he'd be busy attending class or more precisely, skipping classes. But since the reception and the classes where both on opposite ends of the campus, she decided to be brave and go to collect the papers.
She took a bath, got into her black nike hoodie and black skinny jeans with her black high tops, a little eye liner and she was off to school.
She covered her head with the hoodie before entering the school, she slipped into the reception area as quietly as possible, collected the papers and was on her way towards the waiting cab, when she heard a familiar voice booming on the nearby badminton court. She looked towards the court reluctantly, only to find herself not able to bring her eyes away from the scene.
She saw, Aaron along with another guy from Aaron's badminton team, both the boys shirtless, and sweating profusely. Aaron was playing rough and the other guy was having a hard time keeping up with Aaron's speed. Everytime, the guy missed a shot, Aaron would cuss some beautiful words and the other guy's face would crunch uo in annoyance, but he knew better to keep his mouth shut in front of a furious Aaron.
Although, both the guys were shirtless, she could only find her eyes following the furious boy with a tight jaw, she felt his jaws would break with the amount of pressure with which he was grinding his jaws together.
The she found herself walking toward the court, and before she could realise what she was doing, Aaron noticed her presence and his eyes landed on her. He stopped abruptly and unclenched his jaws to say something, but before he could say a word, Lynn got a hold of herself, turned around and ran towards the cab without a second glance towards the court.

After seeing Lynn fall asleep peacefully and leaving a sweet kiss on her forehead, Aaron had come hone and slept like a baby.
He woke up the next morning, and the first thing he realised was that he was head over heels for his Lynn, he always was, but he only realised it yesterday night, seeing her sleeping so peacefully. He was furious at himself, for only realising it now, when he was almost on the verge of loosing her.
He went to school, only to find, to his annoyance, that Lynn had skipped school.
He attended the first couple of classes it soon he was running short on patience, so he decided to just ditch class and vent out some steam on the court, he called up his badminton friend, Adrian, who was always up for the game.
They started normally, but soon Aaron's frustration was coming out on the game and Adrian could literally see steam coming out of Aaron's ears as he kept hitting smashes. Aaron as well as Adrian were sweating and breathing heavily in no time, so they decided to play shirtless, since no one was around to see them anyway.
Aaron was so busy venting out his anger, that he didn't notice a black form walking towards the courts. He felt someone's eyes on his body, and when he turned around, he was surprised to see Lynn standing there, in all her glory, Staring back at him.
Aaron came out of his daze and started towards Lynn, but before he could even take a step forward, Lynn realised where she was and she turned around and ran towards the school gates without a second glance behind her.
Aaron was hurt with Lynn's behaviour, but knew better, he knew he was the cause to her sudden coldness towards him, he knew it took more than flowers and chocolates to make his Lynn happy.
"Heyy Aaron? You okay, buddy? You seem to be lost", Aaron was brought out of his daze by Adrian. "Wasn't that Lynn, why did she ran away? Is she okay? Did something happen between you both?" Aaron got irritated by these sudden questions, he snapped at Adrian, "Why do you care, it's none of your damn business!", when he realised he took his anger out on the wrong person, he instantly softened his voice, "Adrian, I'm sorry, buddy. It just isn't my day today, Lynn and I have been fighting and a lot has been going around. You don't worry, man. I'll be back to my old self soon." Aaron tried smiling but failed miserably.
"Dude, just listen to me this once, okay? I have seen the way you look at her, man. Your a complete goner, you can't hide it from anyone, why don't you just talk to her? Don't let her go man, she's a keeper" and with that Adrian went off towards the school building with his shirt and racket on each of his hands.
Although, Aaron was a little mad at Adrian, since he was so right with what he said about Lynn, but he knew he had to do something before he lost his cupcake forever.
