BANG!
One decision was all it took to change her whole destiny. The room seemed to froze in shock for a mere second, before everybody started moving trying to get away from the men with the gun. Everybody panicked, scared he'd shoot again, but before he had time to even think of pressing the trigger again, somebody jumped on him, pushing the gun away.
She kneeled to the ground, a soft whimper escaping her lips, her arms curling around her stomach were the bullet wounded her. She felt tears run down her face, the blood oozing out of the wound. The sounds all around her blurred together. She couldn't understand what was happening, yet she knew she was slowly dying.
"Y/N!" She suddenly heard, but she couldn't respond. It was like she ran out of energy. Her eyes were hooded; her breathing became ragged. "No, don't you dare die on me. I swear to god, please." Arms wrapped around her body as she looks up in the wet and scared eyes of the man she loved. Her best friend. "Come on, Y/N. Stay with me, love. Best friend forever, remember? You can't leave me now, not when I need you so much." Calum cried out, his hand laying on her cheek as he slightly shook her body, trying to shake life back into her. "I love you, okay? I've loved you for awhile, but I could never tell you. I was scared you'd reject me. Please, don't leave. Fight for your life, for me, your family and all your friends." Tears were running down his cheeks, splattering against her face.
She found the energy in herself to send him a small, yet weak smile. "I'm not scared of dying." She whispered, "So, don't be scared for me." She lifts her hand and press it against his cheek, smearing blood on his face in the process. "I love you, forever and always." Her heartbeat slowed down, as her eyes shone with joy and peace, the demons that once haunted her, suddenly gone. The end was near she could feel it, yet she wasn't terrified. "I'll always be with you, even if you can't see me." Her eyes slowly began to shut.
Fear gripped his gut as he pressed her closer to him. "No, please." He cried. Calum bent his head and kissed her lips for the first time. She took every ounce of energy left in her to kiss him back, if only for a second. Her breathing became shallow, her heartbeat slowed down and she felt life slip away from her.
She greeted death like he was an old friend, her life ending with his lips pressed against hers, a final thought sent toward him.
