Wolfe huffed, the moon at it's highest point of the night. He used his furry forearm to clear his snout of blood. He looked at the shredded side of the elk he had downed. It's inards and flesh were in tatters and it's blood left a heavy iron taste in his mouth.
Delicious.
Superb.
Yet it couldn't kill the taste from the girl's lips. If her scent was intoxicating, then her taste was murder. He panted, finished with the animal and it's slight distraction from the day. He turned and headed to the stream to get one last drink before he headed home.
He heard the other wolves tearing his kill to shreds. He wondered how big the pack was. As long as they kept to their borders and didn't cross into his marked territory, everything was peaceful.
He dunked his snout in the icy stream and drunk noisily. Wolfe pulled his snout from the water, his fur covered throat wet as he lifted his head. Even from his spot in the forest, some miles away from the house he had her taste on his tongue. The human in him told him to stay out longer, run around, chase a few deer, maybe a moose. The human in him begged him not to go back before dawn.
The beast in him grinned and walked on all fours back to his land. The night creatures came back to life in his wake. Owls hooted, tree frogs croaked, foxes chirped and yowled. His mind was preoccupied with what to do with the woman that was in his house. He licked his lips and found a hunger begin to burn in his gut.

Phoenix yawned, finished writing out her spenditure for the next few days. She hoped she didn't get Wolfe's house burned down... Maybe she had played her part a little too well. She rubbed her head, feeling the guilt weigh on her.
She stood up and removed the head scarf. "....I should leave now before he comes back," she mumbled as her right hand strayed to touch her lips. "........."
Byron lifted his head from the floor, looking sleepily at her. Easterday kicked in her sleep, cuddling closer to the male. Phoenix rubbed the dog's head.
"Your master sure in a weird one." she chuckled.
Byron perked a brow, looking at her as if to say, 'really, I couldn't tell.' Phoenix imagined the dog would have alot of sarcasm in his tone.
"What type of man is he! Not only did he kiss me but the idiot bit me!" Phoenix vented to the dog. Easterday whined, telling her to shut up. Byron licked Phoenix's face, then laid his head across Easter's back.
She grumbled, then closed the small curtain that separated the small dog's corner from the rest of the room. She tucked her coins away in the pouch and put them in a pocket in her red cloak. Phoenix heard a noise outside, and the door opening and closing.
"Damn... Thought I could leave before he came back." She started back into the main room, where the door was. "Wolfe... about earlier I was thinking that I--"
Her mind couldn't fully comprehend what she was looking at. She'd heard of man beasts, of demons and espers. And as a traveler of the world, she had seen a vast matter of creatures.
