Durret looked at Wolfe disdainfully. The olive skinned youth bothered him to no end. He spotted Easterday inside Wolfe's house, and his frown increased.

"Wolfe Ferris." Durret said dryly. "i see you have a new dog."

"her? Byron found the poor girl clinging to life by the aquaducts." he whistled. "poor thing must have chased a rabbit too far."

Durret cleared his throat and climbed down from his horse.

"Enough idle chitchat." the guild master replied. "the reason why we're here is to ask if you've seen any peculiar characters in the area."

"Peculiar? How so?" Wolfe grinned. "misses berkheart's daughter passed through with her husband. He was from Knorr. He was quite peculiar. Quite peculiar indeed."

Easterday got up and limped to another room. Byron followed close behind, nipping her curly tail playfully. Wolfe twitched and rubbed his arms.

"No. A foreigner from the Blue Lands." Durret said. "dressed in red. She came to our guild and stole something of mine."

"Aside from the Knorrsman, nothing in particular comes to mind." Wolfe clicked his tongue along his teeth. "Especially a woman in red."

"Then you wouldn't mind letting us have a look around would you?" he asked, a challenging hand resting on his belt. Wolfe saw the short sword, Durret was known to use force in any situation that did not go his way. Wolfe stretched, then walked inside.

"I have no secrets." Wolfe grinned. He glanced at the table, to where he had left the parcel. It was gone, and the clothes Phoenix had used were tucked away somewhere. Three other men followed int Durret and went about searching the house. Bedroom, storage rooms, cabinets, pantry, shelves, under the mattress, trunks, nothing was left untouched. Four other men went into the small barn Wolfe owned, using pitch forks to sift through the piles and bales of hay.

Easterday was hit, leading to a loud cry and Byron snarled at the man that had hit her.

The only door that had been locked was the washroom. One of the men knocked, and jiggled the handle impatiently. "What is behind this door." he demanded.

"The washroom. There's a tub."

"I hear movement." he growled at Wolfe.

Durret's brow furrowed and his jaw turned into a cruel smile. "Open this door this instant, or we'll break it down," he said. "You could land in the gallows for harboring a fugitive."

Wolfe looked Durret square in the face. He was taller than most of the men by a few inches, and was more slender. He gently rapped his knuckles on the door. "Phin, mind coming out?"

"I do mind." she hissed through the door. "I have nothing good for me to wear!"

Durret's brow perked, and a few of the on seeing apprentice's turned beet red. They turned from the door and went about searching through Wolfe's drawers and shelves.

He paused and turned to get something from his room. Wolfe frowned at all the mess, but stepped over it to get to a trunk that had already been rifled through. He wondered where Phin had hid her items, because his home was getting torn apart and they still hadn't found anything. Wolfe reached in a pile of clothing and pulling out a few items from when he had travelled to Lenboor, the East most part of the nation. Land of the rising Sun, and the Sandsea.

They were gifts for one of his cousins, but she had died before he returned from his travels. He knocked on the door again, and before he could say anything, Phoenix opened the door a crack and snatched the clothes. He smiled at Durret.
