Surviving an Apocalypse

Chapter 2:The zombies are coming

   Alex starred at the two figures for a few moments, then recognized who they were. "Linsey? Jade?" Alex asked confused. "What happened  to you and why do look like zombies?" Alex continued asking questions. "Uhhh" Only a low moan escaped from Linsey's mouth. "Ewww! You guys stink!" Alex said covering his nose with his sleeve. Alex then began to slowly walk backwards until he was in view of the other students in the cafeteria.

    The two zombie like girls followed. Danielle grabbed a pair of scissors and quickly came up behind Alex. "Linsey, Jade, this isn't funny!" Alex yelled desperately wanting them to give up their prank. "UUUHHHHHHHHH" A louder moan escaped the two girls mouth's, then they slowly started coming at Alex and Danielle with their arms stretched out reaching for them. "Linsey! Jade! Please, just give up this prank!" Alex yelled panicking. "I don't think she can hear you! I believe she's a real zombie!" Danielle replied readying her weapon to strike. "DANIELLE!!!!!" Gabby screamed from across the cafeteria. Megan quickly covered her mouth.

    The two zombie like girls looked over to see what made the noise.  While they were distracted Alex whispered to Danielle. "Danielle, have any idea's?" He whispered keeping his eyes on the two girls. "I have a pair of scissors, but there are two of them and only one of me." Danielle answered. "Well, I have a pen." Alex said pulling out a pen from his pocket. "That will do. We strike on three. One, two, THREE! HeeeEEEEYAAAAAA!!!!!" Danielle yelled as she stabbed Linsey with the scissors. Her and Alex ran and joined their friends.

    "DANIELLE!" Gabby, Abby, Maggi, Miranda and Megan screamed as they ran over and hugged her tightly. "OK, you can let go now! I'm alright." Danielle told them smiling. Reka walks over to Danielle. "Danielle, what's wrong with Jade and Linsey?" Reka asked. Danielle sighed and said "I believe they are real zombies." Danielle replied. "WHAT??" The girls yelled surprised. "What are you talking about? Zombies aren't real." Erin said from around Trea's arm. "Yes, they are! Linsey and Jade are zombies!" Danielle yelled trying to make sense of what happened. "Please tell me your joking. You know I hate zombies." Gabby said holding on to Megan's arm. "I'm sorry Gabs, but its true. There zombies and we cant change that." Danielle replied shaking her head.

    "Why does it stink all of a sudden?" Deven asked covering his nose with his sleeve. "Because that's the smell that zombie make!" Reka yelled. "ZOMBIES!!!!!" Abby screamed as she pointed to rather large group of zombie teachers and students coming toward them. Everyone in the room became panic struck. "Danielle.......What do we do?" Gabby asked terrified. "RUN!!!!!!!" Danielle screamed across the cafeiteria.

    Everyone quickly ran for their life. Some students were eaten or killed during the panic. Many students grouped up with friends and left the school. A small group, led by Danielle Carpenter has escaped the cluches of the fleash eating zombies and is now on the run, an hour from the school.

    "Danielle! I cant run anymore!" Gabby said gasping for air. "Yeah, me either!" Maggi said breathing heavily. "We should probally take shelter anyway. I'm starved." Miranda said. Danielle looked around. No zombies were in sight. "Ok, lets take shelter in that building over there." Danielle ordered.

    The group followed her orders without question. When the whole group was inside the buliding, Gabby decided to ask Danielle about the events that happened at school. "Danielle........why is this happening? Why now? What are we going to do? Danielle?" She asked. Danielle sat down in a chair trying to think. "Leave her alone for now, she needs to think." Megan said entering the room. Gabby nodded and left the room. "Thank you Megan. I dont know how to answer those questions and I dont know what Im gunna tell the others." Danielle said stressfully. "You'll think of something. You're a good leader." Megan answered leaving the room. Danielle smiled slightly then began to think.

     In the other room, Maggi whispered quietly to Gabby trying to calm her down. "Were going to be ok Gabby, just calm down." Maggi said. "No, WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!" Gabby yelled. "GABBY! Dont you ever say that! Were going to be fine!" Megan yelled angerly. "Where's Abby and Miranda?" Maggi asked changing the subject. "There on zombie look out." Megan replied more calmly. "And Danielle?" Maggi asked. "She's.......thinking." Megan anwered. "Megan, I miss everyone. I miss going to school and seeing everyone. I miss my parents and my pets. I just want to go home." Maggi said upset. "Maggi, you know we cant. Its dangerous, you could be killed. Think about how your friends would feel." Megan replied. "I know....." Maggi answered sadly. Shortly after their conversation ended Danielle enters the room to share her plan.

    "Alright everybody, were going to camp here for the night. Theres a kitchen in the back room, we need to gather some food up and bring it to this main room. We should take turns on look out duty. Two at the least should be up there. We need to try to be quiet and we all need to listen to every order that is given. Does everyone understand?" Danielle anounced. "Yeah." Megan replied. "Ok." Gabby answered weakly. Maggi nodded. "Good! Then lets get to work!" Danielle said smiling. Megan grabbed Gabby and headed to the kitchen. Maggi and Danielle followed.
