Chapter Fourteen

*Dean's POV*

Six hours.

That's how long I have been sitting outside Cas's door, waiting to see what he would say.

I already knew.

In that moment, I had destroyed all the trust I had managed to build between us.

Why would he want to be with me now? After he had seen how I had just lashed out?

He wouldn't want someone so unstable in his life.

"Dean?" Cas called from inside.

I stood slowly and opened the door.

"Cas, before you say anything, I am so sorry, and I will regret doing that for the rest if my sorry life"

"O-Okay" he replied, "Sit down" he commanded gently.

I sat as far from him as possible, not wanting to make this any harder for him.

He frowned slightly.

"Dean, you were right"

"Wait, what?" I was so surprised that I almost fell off the bed.

He chuckled softly. "I was stupid to think you would leave when things got hard, I should have known better, and for that I'm sorry"

"Your not leaving me?" I whispered, barely believing my luck.

He laughed softly again "No, I could never do that, I love your stupid ass too much"

All I could do was sit there and stare at him in disbelief.

He crawled over to me and sat on my lap, cupping my face with his hands.

"Dean, you were right about everything, and you made me realise something, I don't need to be afraid anymore. Yes, at first I was afraid of you physically hurting me, but mostly I was so afraid you would hurt me emotionally. That you would leave me, that you wouldn't love me because of what had happened"

He leant in and rested his forehead against mine.

"So what do you say Dean, are you ready to put this behind us? Because I am."

"Yes Cas, I love you so much, and if you love me too, I am the luckiest, happiest man alive" I kissed his lips gently.

To my surprise (Cas had been surprising me a lot lately) he wrapped his arms around me and tried to deepen the kiss.

I pulled away slightly. "Are you sure you okay with this?"

"I thought we had established that its behind us, now shut up and kiss me" he growled, smashing our lips together again.

I shrugged mentally, well alright then.

Cas pushed me so that I was lying on the bed, just as Sam burst in.

"O-Oh" he stuttered.

"What?" Cas growled, not getting off me.

"I, I uh, thought I heard something, and thought something was wrong, but I was wrong, uh, I will, leave you to it" he backed out of the room stuttering.

Cas rolled so that he was lying next to me.

"You were right" he commented "He is an interrupting moose"
