"H-How long?" I said, furrowing my eyebrows and looking down. Surely he wouldn't still be in prison now? It's been 10 years.

"Why do you care?" He said, leaning into the window next to him and staring at me, his face blank. "It's not like you helped to get him there."

"That's not fair."

"What? You chose to walk away. You knew what Finn was going no through, what Jack was doing, and you. walked. away." He said, pausing between his words.

"I-It... I-It wasn't like that!" I said, clenching my fists. This wasn't my fault, how dare he.

"Whose the bad guy now Zo?" He said, his voice slightly quieter at this point.

I shot him a glare and he only raised his eyebrows at me in return. I thought occurred to me and I took a deep breath, sitting back in my chair and waiting a few seconds before saying, "Well Alfie, if your such a 'good person', what happened the night of that party? Why did you leave me despite my extreme anxiety in those situations. Why did you get pissed drunk despite saying you'd atleast stay sober enough to remember my name and most importantly why did you lock lips with some random blonde I'm 98% sure you'd never met before."

I hadn't realised my change in tone and my raised volume until I saw Alfies eyes closed and heard him whisper, "Are you trying to wake up half the country?"

I shot him a glare and he took a deep breath before saying, "Look it was 10 years ago, why is it even relevant now?"

I turned away from him and heard him groan before continuing, "Look I'm sorry and it was a mistake, okay? Anyway, you shouldn't even compare my situation to yours with Finn!"

We were both silent for a while before Alfie added, "And you basically cheated on me anyway."

"Excuse you." I said, instantly turning back to him.

"Finn told me you guys kissed!" He said, his face still blank making his emotions unreadable. Anger? Sadness!

"Finn kissed me. By no means did I kiss him back! I can't believe you think id do something like that!" I took another sip of my drink, really wanting to leave.

"Well, let's see, your married and yet here you are sharing a drink with your ex, still trying to get answers for your break up... I guess I can believe it."

My jaw dropped and I stood up, placing a firm slap on Alfies face before walking out, feeling relieved when he didn't follow me.

"Luke I'm so so sorry." I said, engulfing him in a hug from behind.

He remained still and remained silent.

"Luke?" I pulled my arms away from him and turned to face him, his face stuck in deep thought. (Does that even make sense?)

"Who was that?" He said, his voice calm, but definitely not gentle.

"No one." I whispered, looking down.

His face turned to an annoyed smile before he bit his lip and turned to me, giving me a disappointed look. "One more try. Who was that?"

I took a deep breath and said, "No one important."

This time Luke remained silent, simply turning away from me and walking upstairs. And later that night when I finally found the guts to join my husband upstairs, I was greeted by a locked door.

Guess I'm having the sofa tonight...

"Mummy! Mummy you have to wake up!" I was woken up to Vickys high pitched screeches in my ear.

"Vicky?" I paused slightly before saying, "Vicky, what time is it? Where's Cody?" The little girl shrugged before skipping down the corridor.

I groaned, picking up by phone, finding a lot more energy when I realised the time,

10:12am

"Shit" I mumbled under my breath before yelling, "Vicky! Get dressed! Right now!"

I then ran into Codys room, finding him still fast asleep. "Cody, Wakey Wakey."

Despite the many complaints from the two kids, I managed to get them ready just before half ten, and into school just before quarter to eleven.

I closed the car door, dreading going inside. It was around 11 o'clock now and Luke would, without a doubt, be awake.

I took a minute, debating in my head about where this could go, and before I even knew if I had entirely made up my mind, I found myself reopening my car door and putting my keys back into the ignition.

Okay so I said that the last chapter was a cliff hanger but then I forgot what I was gonna write and so yeah this was kinda crappy but I feel like this was a good cliff hanger.

Meanwhile, I've already got an amazing idea for the end of Thai book :)

But y'all would hate me for it...

Also, can i just say that those who vote / comment on every chapter of both the books, I do notice you and I do love you :)
