I'd just like to point out that the last chapter had 666 words.
"Are you three alright?"
"We're fine. Thank you." Joel responded to the man. Although he said thank you, his voice sounded very cold.
"Why did you help us?" Ellie asked curiously. She was still hugging her sister as Lily shook, frightened.
"Simple. That little spit-fire reminded me of my daughter." The man replied, looking at Lily. Lily looked at the man and broke from Ellie's grasp, slightly moving Joel out of the way.
"Lily." She said, holding her hand out to the man. She was intimidated by him, but he had just saved her life. More importantly, he had just saved her sister's life. She figured the man deserved a thanks.
"Hayden." He replied, shaking Lily's hand. His grip was soft, acting as though the girl was fragile. Lily, however, didn't like that and shook the man's huge hand as tightly as she could. Hayden chuckled at Lily's attempt and tightened his grip slightly. "What were you all doing here?" He asks, releasing Lily's hand and looking over to Joel.
Joel vaguely explained what had happened, not wanting to give the mysterious man to much information. Hayden nodded as Joel spoke, taking in all the details that he was given. "Well, it seems that you three could use some protection." Hayden chuckled, making all three of them tense up. "How about you three join my group? We happen to be skilled."
"How about you just leave?" Lily said, right before Ellie replied. Neither of them liked when people acted like they were little girls, incapable of taking care of themselves. She had probably just spared the man from Ellie cursing at him.
"Sorry for trying to help you." He said, glancing behind him. "Good luck dealing with the infected on your own." He walked out of the garage. When he got out of the building, he made a signal to one of the other members of his group and the girl shot into the air, calling for any of the infected who hadn't already heard all of the commotion. The group laughed and jumped into some different vehicles, driving off and leaving the trio alone in the building. Joel sighed and worked out the problem in his head.
"Loot anything that can be helpful. Make it quick, we don't have long." Joel said as he started going through some cabinets. They all took what they needed, finishing right in time. Some of the infected were already making their way over.
TAH DAH! I know, not very good and this chapter was short. But, it is two chapters ((Out of the million I owe)) and I hardly remember anything from the game so.. I'll probably replay the game here pretty soon so I can refresh my memory. Please bear with me. Oh- and tell me what you think of them maybe? I think I may have said this earlier, but I might delete the story. Or maybe rewrite it later. As I was rereading this to see what was going on, I realised how terrible I was at writing. Maybe still am. I don't know. But yeah, please comment what you think and if I should continue writing it. Thank you lovelies ;)
