Chapter Nine

Bella's POV

Five days has passed since Carlisle did the testing on me, Edward still won't make love to me and it's driving me insane. I'm finally put up with him and yelled, “Why are you being like this?! Carlisle said I should take it easy for a few days! Not for almost a week!” He yelled back, “No and don't make me say it again!” I yelled back, “I'm going to go talk to Alice! Your being a pain in my rear!” I knew Esme wouldn't like me using the word ass, so I used the next best thing.

I stormed down the stairs in a blur, I was literally going as fast as a vampire, but I didn't slow down. I headed into the living and said, “I need to speak with you Alice. Can we go for a run outside?” She replied, “Sure Bella.” She followed me out of the door as I made a turn and headed towards the woods. I said, “Before we start running, I just want to say that I want to be out of hearing range from everyone.” She nodded her head in understanding, then I started running with inhumane speed. The edges of my vision was a little blurry, but I still could see enough that I didn't crash into anything.

I came to a stop about two seconds later, Alice was just about a second behind. I looked over at the waterfall and asked, “Isn't it just beautiful?” She replied, “Yes, it is.” Then she changed the subject, “What do you want to talk about?” I replied, “I wanted to know if you had any handcuffs.” She chuckled and replied, “Yes, I do. I didn't know you were that kinky.” She started laughing harder and I rolled my eyes at her, she was just something. I teased her back, “I knew you were.” She said in an happy tone, “Of course I am.” I shake my head at her, she really was something else. I asked, “Can I borrow two of them from you?” She said, “Yes, what color would you like?” I asked her, “Do you have them in purple?” She replied, “Yes, I do.” I smiled at her, then she said, “You can stop by my room, before you go back up to Edward.” I said, “I should be able to get him handcuffed to the bed, I'm just as strong as he is.” Alice just said, “You'll manage alright.”

There was silence between us for a while, we just stared at the waterfall. I really wanted to go for a swim in it, it was one of my favorite places on the island. I said, “I'm going to go for a swim,” then I jumped from the high point and landed in the water, I had jumped with all of my clothes on. Alice shook her head at me and said, “Now you have a reason to strip out of your clothes, when you head back upstairs to your man.” I smiled to myself and said, “I guess I do.” We both started laughing at that, but I was really looking forward to it.

I got out of the water and rang the water out of my hair, before I walked up to Alice again. I said to her, “I think I want to head back now.” She had a smile plastered on her face, she knew exactly what I was going to do when I got back. She said, “You'll have to stop at my room, so I can give you some purple handcuffs.” I replied, “I won't forget about that.” We took off running back to the house, this time I followed Alice, so we made it to the house at the same time.

I followed Alice to her room first thing as we entered the house, which was on the first floor. I stood at the door waiting for Alice to find two purple handcuffs, she handed them to me and they were in a white box. She said, “There's a pair in each box and you can keep them.” I replied, “Thank you Alice.” She closed her bedroom door behind us and headed back to the living room, while I headed up the stairs to the bedroom Edward and I shared. I take my time walking up the stairs, not sure how I was going to pull this off.

I opened the door slowly and walked in, I stopped in the middle of the room and started to strip, after I set down the small boxes on the dresser. He asked, “What do you think you're doing Bella?” I replied, “My clothes are wet, so I'm taking them off.” Then he asked, “Why are you're clothes wet?” I said, “I went for a swim.” He questioned, “Why didn't you just jump in your undergarments?” I responded, “Because I didn't know if Alice would be okay if I jumped in that way.” Then I moved the handcuffs over to the desk next to the bed, I would have access to them when the time was right. I had climbed into the bed just in my undergarments, I turned to Edward and saw that he was staring out the window. I said, “Won't you come over here please.” He asked, “Why? Why do want me to come over to you?” I replied with a smile, “Because I love you and I want to kiss you.” He said, “But it isn't going to lead to sex.” I just said, “Just get over here already.”
