It's been years since the relationship between you and Suga fell apart. The arguments, the tears, the silent goodbyes. They all flashed through both of each other's minds. Suga practices day and night to keep you off his mind. You hand out with friends and meet new people to erase him from your thoughts. But in the end; both of you fall back into that pit of despair.
Why did I let her go? He thought.

You walk down an alleyway that takes you to a silent neighborhood. Sirens, chatter, and your footsteps fill up the air. Suga is at the opposite side of you, with ear buds plugged in. His head is tilted down as he walks slowly.
You see a silhouette of a young man. You squint your eyes to get a closer look. The man looked so familiar; He was slightly hunched down and you could hear a small tune playing. You recognized of the tunes and it was a song that Suga used to listen to when he would visit you. His arm resting on your waist as he fell asleep with you safely in his arms. Suga never found this much peace when in slumber. The memory made your heart ache and you swallowed back the urge to cry. Carelessness caused you to bump into this man. Causing you to trip and fall.
The young man catches you in his arms and your heart gives another heave before you realize who it is.
It's him..it can't be!! You thought.
"Hey, Suga," You said.
Suga looked up at you and his blood ran cold against your touch. He held back the desire to pull you in for a kiss.
"Hello, Y/N,"
A heavy silence fell between the both of you. Suga looked different than how you saw him before. His eyes were cold and empty, he dyed his hair and changed up his outfit a bit. This wasn't the Suga you used to know. Your chest felt heavy with each breath you took.
Suga noticed how much you changed in the time; You started to wear much more attractive clothing, you wore make up and showed a daring side to yourself. You always had a man by your side. You used to be a shy and kind person always willing to do what it took just to see Suga smile. Suga's skinned burned to just hold on and never let go of you.
"It's a coincidence to run into you!" You said with a small smile.
Suga ran his hand down his neck and bit his lip.
"Yeah, you know, people just going places and doing there thing. How have you been?" asked Suga.
The conversations seemed to get smaller and much more silent with the minutes going by.
You turn to look at the opposite side of the road, you want to leave and never come back. But there was a dim desire that spread savagely. Suga is already walking away from you. The silence already broke him down to the core. His hood concealed his worn out and broken face avoiding to make any more contact with you.
"Please don't go," You pleaded.
Suga sucked in his breath as your hand took a hold of his. Your touch felt like a raging fire under his skin. He bit down on his tongue to avoid letting a single tear fall.
Suga knew how much he missed you since you were away. No matter how many times his friends asked him if he still missed you. He faked a smug look and simply said no. But his heart sank to the sound of your name.
No matter how many dates you have gone on with random good looking strangers. You always thought of Suga at the end of the day.
Your choking sobs cut through the tension and your hand held onto Suga even tighter.
"I regret that day with all my heart!" You shouted.
"I regret the day we argued! The words that were said! EVERYTHING!! I never realized how much I needed you until I found myself alone. You were the only one who really understood me..I don't understand why things had to be the way they are."
Suga broke free from your grip. His body trembled to the sound of your voice. He knew how much he loved you. But he never came to appreciate you enough. Until you walked out and vanished. He realized his mistake after the damage was done.
He ran forward as his arms engulfed you in an intense hug.
"I'm sorry for everything," He whispered.
Under the lights of the urban city he gently kissed your forehead and pulled you closer into his arms. You could hear his frantic and steady heartbeat but this soothed you into a state of bliss.
I promise to never let you go...Y/N. Suga thought.
I promise to always stay by your side. You thought.
We won't let anything get in the way of us two. Because you are the only thing I have that keeps me alive...
