Jimin closed the door quietly entering into his home. He tossed his jacket on the hanger and slumped onto the couch adorning the living room. He sighed heavily and rubbed his arm after putting his weight on it trying to make a creative dance move. He looked around and saw you were no where to be found. He looked over and found a small post it on a black coffee table.
자기야~ I re-heated left overs from last night in case you get hungry. Take as much as you want and the drinks you wanted are on the second column to your left in the fridge. 사랑해!
-Y/N
Jimin smiled at the little drawing of a cat you put in the corner of the note. But eating was the last thing on his mind. He would always come home to you in the kitchen wearing a floral apron while you stood and greeted him with a sweet kiss. You'd tell him about your day and what adventures you had while he was gone. Ever since you won Jimin's heart (around three years ago) he wasn't aware of what went on through your mind and what type of psychological harm you had hidden from him. You suffered a severe case of anxiety and would get random episodes of sadness. He never seemed bothered with reassuring you how much you meant to him and he never got mad over your tantrums or anything that went out of hand. He always took you by the hand and hummed a sweet lullaby to ease your anxiety attacks. You never understood why you deserved such kindness from a man like him. You always questioned why he chose an emotional mess like you.
"Out of everyone in this world...Why did he choose me?" You said.
The bathroom lied between You and Jimin's bedroom in the upstairs floor. A dim light flickered and the silence kept chewing at Jimin's sub conscious. He ran up the stairs and opened the door to the room: No one was inside.
There's only one place she could possibly be hiding. Jimin thought.
The door to the bathroom was slightly cracked and the sound of rushing water lightly echoed in the bathroom. Sniffles and small cries were barely heard of. The door creeks open and Jimin scans for any intruder.
"Y/N?" said Jimin.
"Y/N,"
He walked slowly into the bathroom. Light scents of metal came into the bathroom and his own blood ran cold. Jimin didn't want to assume the worse and think you had been murdered by some psycho maniac. You sat with your head submerged into a river of faint red. Small bubbles escaped from the surface and Jimin entered the bathtub feet first and yanked your head up gently into the surface.
"What happened to you!! Are you ok??" Jimin said with panic.
Your eyes were bloodshot and hollow. Slow breaths escape your lips with your wrist bleeding slowly. The blood trickled down and fused into the already bloody water of the bathtub. Jimin took you out of the tub and wrapped you up in a towel. He set you down on the bed where he dried your hair and handed you a fresh pair of pajamas.
"Please don't scare me like that 자기...Tell me what or who cause you to do this to yourself," Jimin said.
You kept looking down observing the bleeding cease and soon stopped. The pink cuts still fresh on your wrists burned. You didn't care if they bleed again or not. Jimin felt his chest tighten.
"I'm just not good enough for you.." You whispered.
"I keep thinking and thinking about the day you just get tired of having to do all of this for me and you will eventually...walk out of my life. And I will be all alone, I don't want to be alone Jimin.."
The tears came running and you choked on your first sob. Jimin grabbed one of your injured wrist and pressed his lips lightly against the cuts. He kissed your wrist again and wiped a tear away from your face. He gave you a caring smile and tenderly held your hand.
"I understand what it's like to feel unworthy of happiness. To not feel good enough about yourself and have your insecurities consume you. I understand." said Jimin.
"And I will never get sick of telling you the same things over and over again. That's what love is..isn't it? You and the person go past each other's flaws and go the extra mile just to see one another happy. The smallest imperfections give you another reason to love the person more."
You blinked your eyes shut and hiccuped another sob. You rubbed your stinging eyes and sat closer to Jimin.
"Even if things get really tough. You still love me?" You asked.
Jimin squeezed your shoulders with his arm and kissed you on the cheek.
"Through your scars, tears, and emotional breakdowns. I will always love you, Y/N. Don't worry about me letting you go. Because I will hold on knowing that you give me just as much happiness back by staying with me." Jimin replied.
You nuzzled your face against his neck and giggled. He kissed your forehead and looked down at you. He whispered something that left you flustered and elbowing his ribs. He laughed and spoiled you with another kiss.
"Aigoo~ You're so sweet!" You replied.
"You better eat before I drag you downstairs!"
Jimin smiled and held up his hands surrendering to you.
"As long as I get to cuddle with you afterwards," Jimin said.
You ran downstairs to put on your apron. Jimin lingered in the bedroom looking at a photograph of you two winning a giant giraffe plush in the carnival.
"Bless Y/N for being such a sweet girl. I will do what it takes just to make you smile again." Jimin said.
