After what seemed like an eternity, I pulled up along side Starbucks.
As I open the car door a gush of icy cold wind hits me in the face and I shiver violently.
I look from left to right but can't see Marcus anywhere, I'm startled by a loud knocking on the window to Starbucks, and there's Marcus looking like a loon waving his arms all over the place.
As I walk into the warm coffee shop which I was in earlier Marcus greets me with a hug. I awkwardly pat him on the back as I realise that the last time I was in this very room I was here with my boyfriend, who's at home probably waiting for me now.
"Marcus, I should go." I break away from his embrace. "Iris, please don't go," He takes hold of my hand in what seems to be a 'more than friendly' manner. "I haven't seen you in so long and I've missed you." he gives me adorable puppy dog eyes.
I think about it for a moment...
"Fine, let me just call Jack to tell him I'll be back a little later then expected." As soon as I mention Jack's name his face falls, but only for a split second before he plasters a sickening fake smile onto his face.
"Oh, if you need to go don't leave him waiting, we can always catch up another time." He says in what I know is meant to be a reassuring tone but I can hear the pain behind it.
I thought he had a girlfriend...?
What should I do? Leave Jack to wait for me whilst I go out for coffee with the boy who ruined our relationship from the start? or Stay with Marcus, Niomi's boyfriend and drink coffee and talk about life? I know which one's the right thing to do, and yet, I still reply with...
"Jack can wait." He beams at the sound of the idea and I let a small smile reach my mouth.
We walk over to the window seats and take a seat.
"So.." Marcus starts, "Tell me whats going on with your life."

I hadn't even realised where the time had gone, looking out the window it was almost pitch black. Jack wont be happy...
"Marcus, this was lovely, but it's getting late and Jack must be worried out of his mind, I must go"
"Okay love, we'll have to do this again sometime!" I feel like he's asking me out on a date.
"Yeah, Niomi wants to go out for lunch soon, we should double, you Niomi and me and Jack." *Face palm* that would have to be the worst thing I could have possible said.
"About that..." Marcus scratches the back of his neck awkwardly, "I think I might still have tiny little miniature feelings for you..." He looks at the ground for a few seconds before raising his eyes to see my reaction.
"Bu- but, Ni-Niomi?" I stutter out, shocked.
"Oh, I do really like her, but I seem to really like you too. You know, like 50/50?"
I don't even bother replying, I just turn to run out of the store.
Just as I reach my car, Marcus catches my arm and pulls me around, crashing his lips onto mine. Instantly, I feel shivers running through my veins like tiny little electric shocks. I know this is so wrong, but it feels so right.
We pull away to catch our breaths.
"I've never stopped loving you Marcus." His face lights up and instantly I regret what I'm about to say. "But I'm with Jack now."
"I'm never going to stop trying to get you back Iris, I love you too much for that." He kisses my forehead before strolling towards his car and driving off into the distance.

So how was that?
Hopefully not too shabby, you see, I'm currently in the midst of starting and finishing 4 assingments which are all due tomorrow, :S
I'm so sorry for not uploading sooner but I hope this satisfied the Marcus lovers. ;)
