"I haven't seen that Amalda girl in ages...I hope she's okay." Nudge said.
"Heh. I haven't seen her ever." Iggy snickered.
"Wait, sh." Angel shushed them as she listened to some of the minds through the building. She specifically heard Alex and Ally's names. She listened intently:
"Seriously?!" One man asked.
"Seriously. It's a no-go. They don't have it." A woman said.
"Then what do we do? We've lost our strongest warrior, and she's the only one with that type." The man said.
"That's why, we find the producer." The woman said. Then Angel heard her picking up a phone.
"So, what happened? What did you pick up on?" Gazzy asked.
"I don't know...they said their strongest warrior is dead...and that it was a 'she'. Then they said something about the producer...whatever that means." Angel explained.
"What were they saying about Alex and Ally?" Nudge asked.
"That they don't have 'it'...after putting the pieces together, I only got that Alex and Ally don't have a type of something. A type of something that only the girl warrior and the 'producer' have." Angel said.
"...impressive." Iggy smirked.
"Hey, I try." Angel shrugged.
"Now we just have to wait, hope, and pray that Max and Fang can get here before they kill us.
"That's highly unlikely a voice said over a loudspeaker.
"Who is that?!" Iggy called.
"That is for you to find out." He voice said. Then a screen was rolled in and turned off. A couple whitecoats turned it on, and they saw clips of Erasers being injected.
"What is that?" Angel asked.
"This is what we call the FIE." The voice explained.
"Wow...very creative..." Gazzy muttered. The voice cleared its throat.
"These are Erasers being injected with the FIE serum. Then we test all the worst death conditions on these test subjects, and with it, we develop on it, and we evolve." The voice said. The flock can almost imagine the look of astoundment on the guy's face.
"So, you plan to inject the wolves with some sort of liquid, then kill them?" Nudge asked.
"Precisely! To test both sides of their intestinal fortitude!" The voice shouted in excitement.
"Well then..." Angel muttered.
"Isn't 'intestinal fortitude' strength in your digestive system?" Gazzy asked, and Nudge snorted at an attempt to hold in a laugh, and Alex and Ally laughed loudly.
Mr. Obvious, much? Angel thought.
"Wow. Something you have?!" Iggy asked, a grin spreading across his face as they traded high fives.
"Laugh as much as you want now. It may be your last laugh, because we will test the FIE on you six." The voice said. Then the PA clicked and the screen was rolled out, and the flock was left alone. In silence. Everyone stopped laughing. They knew that if that serum didn't work, they'd all die for sure. Then Ally spoke up,
"What does FIE stand for?"she asked the Whitecoat as he started exiting. He looked back at them,
"The Fang Invincibility Experiment." Then he turned and left, letting the two metal doors slam behind him.
