The moment I saw him fight I realized he was definitely mine. He fought with so much fluidity it was amazing.
His attacks always landed and connected and the creature seemed to struggle as it attacked.
Jason was tiring it down which was possibly a good thing or so we thought until the creature kicked it into high gear.
What he call it? A Nox?
Well whatever you call it the wolf headed creature man hybtid thing didn't seem pleased with Jason's attack strategy so it changed mid strike.
In a sharp red slash Jason held his cheek. Blood didnt splstter but rhe scratch looked infected almost like he was poisoned. Which he was.
It just didnt take instantly. Five minutes thats how lonf it took for the poison to spread and for him to lost the will to fight. Another few minutes and his left arm was paralyzed and useless.
As the creature advanced I sprung into action. I pulled out my pocket knife and guarded myself as I held back the creature's attack.
"Jay!" I blurted out. "Get up and move. I'm not letting you die in front of me."
"It's not as easy as it sounds." he remarked as he rose to his feet. "And don't call me Jay."
I smirked repelling the beast back as I gazed at its hollow white eyes. Then I remembered what it was.
My mom would often tell my brother and me these stories about a creature that came from darkness. It was like the boogy man for werewolves.
I smirked. "Nox."
Jason gazed at me as I took a deep breath. "What are you going to do?"
I bit my lip hoping I wouldnt reveal this part of me to my other half so soon. But that was it. I had to do if not he would dis from the poison and I wouldnt be capable of helping him.
"Jason, do you trust me?" I managed.
"What?" He murmured.
"Do you trust me?" I asked once again this time with a sense of urgency in my voice.
"I trust you." Jason managed. I could hear it with his heartbeat. He was lying.
"Close your eyes." I sighed ignoring his fear.
He did as I asked and in an instant I took a breath. At that moment my eyes blossomed into a vauge hue of gold until it was masked into a silver coating.
I smiled as nature surrounded me. Tree roots blossomed around me as lush greenery exploded aurrounding the area.
Fear currupted me. I wasn't afraid for myself but for Jason. If he opened his eyes he would be taken over by my power.
I gazed at the creature with my pale white eyes and a cold smile.
In latin I spoks some words and in a flash of light and explosion occured.
I smiled as my eyes faded back to their regular hue of green.
As my powers relaxed and subsided, I fainted to have Jason catch me in his arms once again.
"Lydia." His eyes filled with wonder and confusion. "What just happened?"
A faint smile spread across my face. "I'll tell you later." I said as I passed out.
Waking up in an unfamiliar place was the highlighr of my morning. It aas about to be eleven and I just glanced around to see nothing but feminine accomides.
Then the door opened and I saw him. Jason Kenner. He was my - well I want to say mate but he was very clear never to call him that outloud.
I sighed as he qalkws in carring a small pot filled with herbal tea and a small china cup.
