The moment I saw her, I knew it. i knew she was mine. But somehow I couldn't believe it. I hated the fact that the Moon Goddess had been so cruel.
To curse someone with me as a mate. That was a fate crueler than death.
The instant I opened the door. I saw her. There she was right in front of me. I could feel it. It was her. She was my mate.
Even Grey noticed her.
She's mine! His voice came crashing into my mind like a posssessive ex boyfriend.
I gazed ar her strawberry honey blonde hair. She had beauty from within and somehow she reminded me of some actress from a cheap MTV television show. I remembered her exquisitely the woman before me reminded me of Holland Roden.
"Lydia Labonaire." I said clearly and with order.
"Come in." I ordered. It wasnt an invitation it was a command. She couldnt say anything. All she did was act. She moved in as I commanded.
Once inside, her eyes dialated as she gazed at me. My eyes were envious with a storm burrowed far beneath them. I could tell Grey was thrilled.
He wouldnt shut up about it all day. But now he was just gleeing like a school girl. It was annoying.
I walked over toward the fridge and pulled out a water bottle. I tossed it at Blake Michaelis. He was a good friend of mine but now I wanted him gone.
I needed time alone with my mate.
Damn it. I thought to myself. Grey stop influencing me. I dont want her. I can't protect her from my past. She wouldnt trust me if I told her everything and I can't allow anyone to know about what I've done.
Grey snarled with a sharp roar. Imbecile you just met her. Don't you see her. She's perfect. She's got everything you've ever wanted. Weren't you the one that said your dream girl would have hair like thatm fiery yet soft and delicate. Balanced with a sharp mind and attitude and a pretty face!
I didnt respond. All i did was grab another water bottle as I opened the cap off and drank.
I did say that once. When I was seventeen. But I was far much older now. I wasn't a child anymore.
Her eyes were a soft shade of green almost like mint. I smiled at her and she smiled back at me.
"This is seriously weird." Blake murmured. "I'm going to use rhe bathroom. You two kids don't kill each other while I'm gone. Oh what am I saying you'll probably just tare each others clothes off and start-"
"Blake!" Lydia exclaimed kicking him in the face.
I smiled examing her form. Her leg came up in one fluid motion. It was amazing my mate was flexible and strong. Far stronger than most of the wolves in my pack. For her age it was astounding even.
Glancing at Blake I noticed his nose was bleeding. I cringed as I threw him a fresh towel.
"That's what you get for picking a fight you knew you wouldn't win."
