Jayce couldn't even look at me as we walked to the building infamously known as The Graveyard, it used to be a holy chapel, before it was called The Graveyard. It was later reformed and turned into a chill spot, which ironically people brought alcohol to drink inside.

I walked behind Jayce, he turned to look at me and I couldn't meet his eyes. He reached at me, taking my hand into his, squeezing it.

His palms were sweaty, telling me that he was nervous. I covered the rest of his hand with my free hand rubbing it with my thumb. Jayce exhaled.

"Hey man you're late." A female voice said from in front of Jayce.

"No, I'm not." Jayce said, I moved forward from behind him. Revealing myself to a black haired girl in a corset dress. She looked somewhat around Jayce's age.

"How are you?" The girl asked moving closer to Jayce, her hand resting on his shoulder. I stared at it.

What the hell was this?

"I'm a bit nervous." Jayce confessed to the girl, answering a question I'd asked him, to some random broad. He let go of my hand and ran it through his hair.

"Don't be, you wrote some beautiful stuff man. You'll be great."

"Thanks Pen." Jayce said, I cleared my throat. They both turned and faced me.

"Farrah this is Penelope, Pen this is Farrah." Jayce said.

I rubbed my arm. "Hi." I simply said.

Jayce was called in by Simon - the guy who organised most of the events at The Graveyard, nobody minded because he was pretty cool with the gigs he brought in - to go backstage and get ready for the poetry session.

I was left alone with Penelope and just like the rest of Jayce's friends I already didn't like her. She sickened me.

"How long have you and Jayce known each other?" I asked Penelope while we walked inside.

"It has been over a year now." She said with a slight smirk, "I've heard a lot about you ever since."

"Sadly I've heard nothing about you. You're literally news to me." I scoffed, truthfully of course.

She forced a laugh, digging into her sling bag. "You have a lighter?" Penelope asked after sometime.

My eyes were already wandering the place for Beks, someone I could actually stand being around.

"I don't smoke." I said, searching for Beks in the crowd. People were already on the couches, looking like they had spent the entire day on them. I managed to spot Beks at the bar, and when our eyes met she lit up.

"Oh Jayce told me, I forgot about that, you don't drink either right?" Penelope asked, I glanced at her with disbelief. Why would Jayce tell her that?

If this was a point that she knew a lot about me, then point made.

"Yeah." I answered, looking at this stranger who already knew so much about me and who was clearly close with Jayce.

"Why though?" Penelope asked, still rummaging through her bag.

"I just don't." I dismissed, disregarding the real reason as to why.

"Hey." I said to Beks.

"Hey kid." Beks said with a smile,"It's good to see you here again, you look beautiful."

"Thanks. You too." I said honestly.

"Bekka right? Do you by any chance have a lighter, your friend here doesn't smoke." Penelope said to Beks, Beks turned to Penelope and pushed her hair behind her ear. She was annoyed by the girl in front of us.
