In a land and time before tales were written into scrolls, two daughters lived with their mother by the Strong Sea. Their cottage was little, but sturdy and certainly had enough room for the three of them. The elder daughter, Anya, was a dark haired beauty, and grew up elegant and regal, speaking little, and yet always getting her point across. The younger sister, Katarina, or Kat, as some called her, was light haired and most fair. Opposite her sister, she was light-hearted, extremely optomistic, and ever discreetly drawing all the attention to herself. The two got on very well, and had a close sisterly bond. They accepted each other for what she was, for they were two sides of the same coin. Until a suitor for Anya began to come calling.
