"Thanks so much for coming to write with me today, Ed. The song turned out great. We definitely need to write again sometime."

"Of course. No problem, Taylor." Ed walked out my front door to his car and I closed the door behind him. We had had an excellent song writing session after he returned with our guitars and I didn't have too much more trouble with my feelings. If that's what you want to call them. Although I will admit that some of the lyrics I came up with may have been based on him and not the person the song was actually supposed to be about.

To be honest I was kind of wary about trying to become more than friends with Ed. And for more than one reason. The last super serious relationship I had had been with Jake. I could have sworn I was in love and he was in love with me. I still get a little misty thinking about him. I was foolish to think we would last, but love is blind. I hadn't really thought much about dating since then; it was just Meredith and me alone in the world. But now Ed. I would be scared to reveal my feelings for him at risk of ruining our friendship. He's such an amazing friend and I wouldn't want to make things awkward. But we are adults, so I'm sure we could get over it if we had to. If he didn't feel the same way about me.

Suddenly my phone rang. I glanced at the clock and realized it had been fourty-five minutes since Ed had left.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey Tayyylor. You busy?" It was Selena. Why didn't I think of that. She would have been the perfect person to talk through this with me.

"No, not at all. I could actually really use some time with you right now," I told her.

"Awesome because I am on my way over," she said.

"Uhm..." I paused, "Could you pick up some cookie dough?"

"Boy troubles?"

"Yeah... kinda," I smiled, relieved that she understood me.

"Of course, Tay. Same here. I'll be there in fifteen."

"See you then, Sel. And thanks." I hung up and frowned. Selena always seemed to be having problems with Justin. After some of the stuff she's told me, I honestly don't know why she stays with him. Oh well.
