After Shannon and Cammie's, it had been a few days of work and doing videos for my YouTube channel. I was in the process of cleaning up the house some because Danny was coming over and even though he was my best friend, he would probably call me lazy. I had to fold some blankets I got out last night when I decided to camp out in the living room watching a movie. I was in a mood to watch the Blair Witch Project so I grabbed two fuzzy blankets from the linen closet and put on sweatpants and a hoodie for a college I won't ever visit. I ended up falling asleep towards the end of the movie and woke up twenty minutes before Danny was supposed to get here. I had barely made a dent in the mess when I heard loud knocking and then my door open. Danny waltzed right in already knowing the place like the back of his hand. "Am I interrupting something?" He asked eyeing me with a mangled blanket wrapped around me as I attempted to fold the other.

"Shit. I'm sorry." I cleaned a spot on the couch for him. "Here you can sit there. I'm going to hop in the shower, I have band practice with Stevie and Ali later." I walked briskly past him trying to stuff the intolerable blankets back into the closet.

"And brush your teeth while you're in there? You have some major morning breath." He glanced at an opened pizza box on the coffee table. "And what did I tell you about getting that pizza? It always smells like you drank a garlic and onion smoothie after eating that."

"But it's so good!" I half-yelled, muffled while I wrestled the blankets. I gave up and just dropped them on the ground. I'd fight with them later. I stormed up the stairs and jogged to my bathroom. I took an extra hot shower to relax me and brushed my teeth while drying my hair. I put on a face mask to try and get my pores cleaner and straightened my hair while waiting for the mask to dry. Once I was done in the bathroom, I went in my closet trying to find an outfit that would look normal to Danny so he wouldn't think I was getting dressed up for someone. I haven't told him about Stevie. I found a kind of normal blouse, jeans and Vans. I hopped down the stairs and I found Danny just now sitting in the living room. I looked around to find he had cleaned up my mess while I was upstairs. "Thanks." I said plopping down on the couch next to him.

"Well, if I didn't do it, do you think you really would've gotten around to it?"

"Nope. But even though I'm lazy, you know you love me. I mean who else can talk to you about girls with?"

He looked at me and sarcastically said "Um, other guys, maybe? It's not hard to find straight guy friends in LA."

"Yeah but none can give you insight about girls too. Like who knows girls better than a lesbian?"

"Yeah, you're right. And speaking of girls, who are you meeting at this 'band practice' looking like that?"

"Looking like what? I dress for comfort and style. If I was seeing a girl, you'd be able to tell because I'd be just stylin'."

He laughed and then got a little serious. "Did you think I wouldn't notice that you are wearing your good Vans?"

I looked down and realize I had put on my best pair of Vans without thinking. I only wore this pair when I was going to hang out with someone I liked. They were lucky for me. "What's wrong with wearing them? Maybe if I wear them more often, I'll meet a really cute stranger wearing them."

He looked at me firmly, not convinced. "Ally, really? Who is she?"

"Okay, fine. Remember when I went to Hannah Witton's party?"

"Yeah, the one like two weeks ago. What about it? Wait, did you meet her there?"

"Yeah. Except she has a girlfriend."

"Does she like you too? Like is she going to cheat on her girlfriend with you?"

"No, she's oblivious to how much I like her."

"What's her name?"

"Stevie Boebi."

"And what do you like about her?" He started to get in a therapist's sitting position, looking at me quizzically.

"Everything. She's beautiful, funny, smart, caring, honest and so much more. Like she's unaware of the effect she has on people. Especially me."

"And you've only known her since the party?"

"Yeah, why?"

"It honestly sounds like you are in love with this girl." He smiled at me.

"No, I've only known her two weeks. You can't fall in love with someone in two weeks."

"Ally, you've seen how many movies where people fall in love at first sight?"

"Yeah well they're just movies. They're not real."

"Why would they base almost ALL romantic movies on something that can't happen? It happens all the time for people. You hear about couples who knew each other for a day and get married. Then they end up growing old together. It's possible to fall in love with someone almost instantly."

I just kind of sat there taking it in whether or not I loved Stevie. The more I thought about it, the more I thought Danny had a point. The past days not seeing Stevie had actually just gotten me missing her and that's why even my subconscious new I was excited to go to band practice. I had actually become one of those girls who fell hard for someone that they can't have. And it was killing me.

Danny didn't like the silence because he knew that was when I began overthinking things. "So just start to think about exactly how you feel about Stevie. If you really want to pursue a relationship with her, tell her you like her. If you think you can handle just being friends with her, then do that. Do whatever is more comfortable for you."

I knew I needed to do exactly that. Danny had to go but he hugged me when he left and said "Don't make a decision until you are one hundred percent sure."

Thenhe left me to do some serious thinking.
