Once the dishes were done and in the drying rack, I wiped down the counters and grabbed two sodas from the fridge before heading into the living room. I walked in to find Stevie knelt down in front of the TV trying to figure out how to switch the TV from cable to the Xbox. I put the drinks on the glass coffee table and picked up the TV remote. I switched it to HDMI and Stevie looked up at the screen confused and then turned to see me waving the remote at her. "Oh. Well, I could've done that." She said picking up the controller and going onto the Netflix app.

We sat down next to each other on the couch and started scrolling through the choices. At first we thought about the L Word but we'd both already seen all of the series, then we saw Orange is the New Black. Even if you've seen all the episodes, you just can't turn it down. It's that good. As we started it, I grabbed comfy blankets from the downstairs linen closet and we both sat on the couch, ready to binge watch the shit out of this show. As it started, I made an obnoxious girl voice saying, "I'm not like gay, or anything, but like, I'd totally go gay for Ruby Rose. Like, you know? Like a girl crush." And did a stereotypical Instagram pose where there hand is covering half of their face.

Stevie chuckled at my stupidity. Then the theme song came on and I really got into it. I started dancing within my limits sitting on the couch. When I was almost through with the song, loudly singing "everything is different, the second time around, and you've got time, AND YOU'VE GOT TIME!" I had started to get up, as if for a grand finale, and Stevie yanked me back onto the couch against her and we just were laughing.

I turned in her arms and then the laughing died off and we looked at each other and there was serious eye contact for a few minutes. It was the longest time I had silently looked into someone's eyes. Stevie leaned in, lifting my chin to raise my lips and crushed her lips to mine. This was our first kiss after kind of not deciding to decide anything right now, and it was also the only one where we neither of us were surprised by it. As the kiss went on, I placed my right hand on her cheek and my other hand had made its way into her hair, trying to bring her closer to me. I don't know how long we were like that but when she sat back, allowing us both a breather, all I wanted to do was kiss her again. Restraining myself, I asked "So when do you want that pizza?"

She laughed and sat up. She paused the episode and looked on her phone for the nearest pizza place by us. She found their number and began to call them. She grabbed an old piece of junk mail off of the table and wrote down the price and used the mail to tell them the address. Throughout that I just watched her. She was so beautiful and I tried to wrap my head around this situation. I couldn't believe that she liked me back.

She hung up the phone and ran her fingers through her hair then whipped it over her shoulder to her back like one of the models on those shampoo commercials. She turned to me and saw me staring. "What?" She asked, using one of her hands to check her hair to make sure it wasn't lopsided. I sat up and grabbed her remaining hand and held it in mine, tracing swirls and circles over her knuckles. Her skin was soft and smooth. Then I turned her hand over and placed her palm on mine, intertwining out fingers. She gently squeezed my hand, sitting next to me. We sat like that for a few minutes, silently holding each other's hands.

After a little while, I finally broke the silence. "So if we're not defining this," I raised out hands that were still clasped together. "Are we still going to do relationship type things? Like to see how we feel and if this is real?"

"I guess, yeah. We shouldn't put any labels on this until we know for sure how we feel." She paused and looked at me. "Besides, this is not so bad right?" She smiled, leaning over to me, kissing me again, slow and soft.

I pulled back and whispered "Nope, not too bad at all." She laughed, got up and started perusing through my records again. "Hey, why not turn the show back on?"
