*BZZZZ* *BZZZZ* *BZZZZ*

I woke up with the sun shining at me through my blinds, and an extremely dry mouth. My phone was buzzing right next to my face. I checked my notifications and it was people posting pictures from the party last night. I guess it got wilder after I left. I was halfway through everyone's posts when I noticed Sarah was in most of the pictures but Stevie wasn't. "That's odd." I thought to myself. I checked my messages and after I said "Yo girl, what you up to?" Stevie didn't reply until this morning.

"Not much, about to meet the friend I told you about. If you are still interested in the band idea, you should come out to meet her. Text me back when you can."

I replied almost immediately as I saw her text. I started to get little nervous butterflies and I hope Stevie wouldn't notice how childish I looked. I texted "Sure. When and where? Also, if it's not in walking distance from my house I might need to hitch a ride."

No more than two minutes after I sent that, Stevie replied while I was hopping in the shower. I just got in the shower anyway because I figured it wasn't dire. After I got out of the shower and was toweling off my hair, I saw her messages, there were two now. "No problem, where do you live?" and then "Oh, never mind Hannah gave me your address. I'll be there in 20 mins."

"Shit!" I said aloud. I raced to my closet and tried to find some clothes to wear. I threw on a baggy white t-shirt, black ripped jeans, boots and a beanie. Right as I finished putting on the last boot I heard knocking at my front door. No one was home so I had to run down stairs and answer the door. I yanked open the door briskly and I could tell it surprised Stevie a little. She was wearing a fedora, latte colored button up blouse, jeans and converse. I immediately felt underdressed. "Come in, I still have to finish getting ready." I tried to hurry up and shut the door behind her as she entered the hour because I could feel my wet hair dripping down my back. "Make yourself comfortable, I'll be ready to go in like five minutes." I raced back into my room, dried my hair as much as I could quickly and grabbed a black purse off the hook on my closet door and as I was shoving in random things I thought I might need, I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I looked up to see Stevie standing in my doorway.

"Just thought I'd tell you I will be outside when you're ready." She glanced around my room a little and took in my serious movie collection and framed posters, like my one for Friday the 13th. "You're really into movies I take it."

"Yeah, and hey no need to wait, I'm as ready as I'll ever be." I threw the purse over my shoulder, walked out with Stevie and locked the front door behind me. I followed her to her car which was silver and wasn't too flashy, since this was LA after all. After about 20 minutes of driving we arrived at a Starbucks. "Wait there was a Starbucks like two blocks from my house, why did we have to come to this one?"

"Because it's closer to where Ali can meet us."

"Ali?" I looked at her quizzically as I unbuckled my seatbelt and started to get out of the parked car.

"Yeah, Ali Spagnola, the friend I was telling you about." As she said that, she glanced over my shoulder and waved. I turned around to see a short blonde quirky girl in glasses approaching us. She had on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle shirt and salmon skinny jeans. She walked up to Stevie hugging her and smiling and then turned to me and offered out her hand.

"Ally, right? I'm Ali." She laughed a little and shook my hand.

"So are we going to get some Starbucks? I'm not really awake yet." I

"Yeah, sure, we can talk inside." Stevie said leading the way inside. There wasn't that long so we wouldn't have to wait. I started to yawn and didn't even think about covering my mouth before a weird whining animal sound escaped my lips. Stevie whipped her head over to see what had happened and when she realized it was me yawning we both laughed. I tend to make really weird and obnoxious sounds. We got to the counter and the barista looked like she'd already had a pretty shitty day and when I ordered a peach green tea lemonade, she sighed, exasperated.

"We're out of the peach. Is there something else you'd like?" She was obviously trying not to roll her eyes.

"Then I'll just get an Iced Nonfat Chai Tea Latte."

"Grande?" She asked.

"Yeah and my name is Ally. With a 'Y'." I handed her the money and told her to keep the change. I moved over to wait for my drink. When another barista handed me m drink I found a table for us and soon Stevie and Ali joined me. I was a little nervous so I just looked down at my cup and got a little pissed. When I said Ally with a 'Y', the barista must have decided she didn't like me because she wrote "Ylly". Like what the fuck?

Stevie saw what I was looking at and started laughing. I looked at Ali's cup and they spelled her name correctly and that's harder than Ally. People just piss me off sometimes. Stevie was obviously trying to comfort me by showing they just wrote 'Steve' on hers and that only helped a little. These people were still morons.

Long after our cups were empty and we had already discussed the possibility of a band, we had started to talk about random things and I was actually managing to have a nice time until Stevie got a text from someone. She picked up her phone, read the message and said, "I have to go pick up Sarah in a little bit so, Ally, I can drop you back off, and" She turned back towards Ali, "I will see you tomorrow, right?"

Ali nodded her head affirmatively and then looked at me "Will I see you there too, Ally?"

"See me where?" I was a little confused about what they were talking about.

"Stevie, you didn't ask her?" She glanced at Stevie, who just gave an apologetic shrug. Ali was soon facing me again, looking slightly irritated. "Our friends Shannon and Cammie are having a get together and some friends from overseas will be stopping by. You should come, you'll meet a lot of cool people."

"Definitely then. See you then." I didn't really have any plans anyway. I was going to clean the house, but really, what were the odds of that happening?

Stevie took me back home and apologized again for forgetting to ask me. I just kept telling her it was okay. I still had to figure out how I am going to get over my crush on her because she's already in a relationship.
