Chapter 8:Will (August 12th) FRIDAY

Max was sitting at Will's feet as he replied to a few emails. It was already 1 PM and he still needed to shower. He turned on the water, letting the cold water pour against his hot skin. He finished getting ready at 2:30. He quickly stripped and put on his new charcoal gray suit.

The sound of Max's bark made him go to the kitchen. He was sitting down by his food bowl, tongue hanging out lazily and tail wagging vigorously.

"You hungry?" He asked and in return Max barked. He went to the sliding door first and let Max out and while Max was doing his usual deed, Will put some food in his bowl. He glanced at the time. 2:45. Shoot. He went to the door. "Max. Come boy." Couple seconds later he watched as Max ran towards him. He left a note for the dog sitter who would be there around 6. He closed the sliding door after him and quickly left. Locking the door behind him he got into his Mercedes and drove off.

When he made it to the gala the first thing he noticed when he walked in was the chandelier and the double stairs. Big Bouquets of red roses sat on top of imperial looking vases. He went up the stairs and saw Mike talking to a worker. He was wearing a clean cut, classic black suit.

"Mike." He called out. He watched as Mike excused himself and walked towards him.

"Will." They shook hands. "So.. What do you think?"

"It looks great. Do you think it's a good idea that you're doing the speech?"

"It was your idea."

"I know I know. Is it weird that I'm not saying anything?"

"You could thank all the guests for coming and for their donations?"

"Perfect." Will looked around the open room.

"Your girl is here."

"Hmmm?" He looked back at Mike, not really sure what he was talking about. Mike opened his mouth to talk again, but thats when he saw her. Amira was standing by one of the tables. Her back was to him. The red dress he got her, hugged her body in all the right places. The open back dipped down and showed the dimples she had on her lower back. Her hair was put into a messy looking bun, which allowed some of the curls, that he loved so much to frame her face. He didn't even know he was walking towards her until he heard Mike call his name. But he didn't care at that point.

"You look stunning." He watched as she turned around a surprised look on her face. She smiled brightly and looked down at her feet.

"Thank you." A small blush sat on her cheeks. He came up to her and laid his hand on her lower back as he kissed both cheeks, the typical thing a man did to a woman at events like this. Except his fingers burned as they touched her bare skin. He could feel the curve of her spine, and the curve at her waist. Their eyes met for a moment before a waiter came up to them with champagne. She looked hesitantly at him.

"It'll calm some of your nerves a little." She nodded her head and took the small wine glass in her fragile hands. He watched as she started sipping on it, but she didn't stop there. He watched as she chugged the whole thing, releasing a sigh as she finished the glass and placed it back on the waiters tray before they slipped away. This girl would be the end of him. She looked up at him and smiled before looking around the room.

"It's stunning." He didn't even bother looking around because the only thing that looked stunning to him was her.

"Yea.." He replied. Again her big brown eyes met his and she smiled a little. Her lips were a light pink color and had some kind of gloss on them. They were illuminating, and made it hard not to look at them. He just wanted a taste. He cleared his throat and looked at the stage.
