Two weeks later:
The walls of the church vibrated at the gongs from the bells above. The sound reverberated throughout the church as family and friends were ushered in and seated.

The past two weeks flew by like a violent storm. Leaving Giavanna standing in one of the rooms in the church staring at her unrecognizable reflection in the mirror. She could hear all the ladies in the room with her speak, and gush, while beaming from ear to ear with excitement; but she could not really get herself to focus on what it was they were saying.

A sudden tight and breath constricting feeling began to rise up within her. It started at her hips and stopped just barely above her breast. It was not until she saw her sister pop up from behind her in the mirror that she realized that feeling had come from her fastening the back of her dress.

All the ladies gathered around her and stared at her reflection in the mirror. There was Gianna, her younger sister and one of her bridesmaids. Her mother, Isabella, her Matron of Honor, and Julianna her best friend and of course Maid of Honor.

Then there was Joseph's mother Anya and his older sister Jael. Who throughout this two weeks have been an incredibly tremendous help with planning and shopping.

Giavanna asked a few of her closer cousins to be her other bridesmaids, but they were not in the room with her now.

On the other side of the church in another room, Joseph stood in front of his mirror fiddling with his bow tie. His father was the only one in the room with him at this moment; telling him who from his family and friends could not make it.

Angelo was with them a few seconds ago but he stepped out to check on his daughter.

"And Ellie?" I can feel and see in the mirror a slight frown play on my lips from my father telling me she was still in New York unable to get out of her college exams. I was upset but not with her; I remember those day.

Finally! I finished tying my tie! Now I just had to straighten the damn thing. A sigh escapes my lips at that thought "Uhm..." I looked at my father through the mirror, should I ask? Would this just make him mad?

"...Has anyone heard from Jacob?" My estranged older brother, he gave up the family name and went to live a separate life from us. My father never liked talking about or to him; but he and I always managed to keep in touch.

I asked my father that regardless of his personal issues with Jacob he still invite him to my wedding. Plus I wanted him to be my best man. I guess since he was not here though I could always ask my bodyguard and close friend Nikolay to be. He was already one of my groomsmen.

'I would not miss this day for the world.' Jacob?! I spin around because I could not see the door from the mirror. He hugs and pats my back before I can confirm it is him.

' My baby brother is getting married and I find out two days before. I thought we were closer then that.'

"You can actually thank our father for that one." I glance over at my father who walks towards the both of us, then stands right in front of Jacob.

Shit shit shit...

They are not doing or saying anything. Dammit do something Jo!
Before I can, they hug each other, for a long time. 'Eto bylo slishkom dolgo moy syn(It has been too long my son).'
