~Ty's P.O.V.~

This can't be happening.

Not again!

I can not believe this piece of dirt is back again! All I could think about was Lily. Her safety. I swear if he hurts her, he's dead.

McKinlee, Brooke, Austin, Will and I all frantically rushed out the door. Will and Brooke jumped in Will's truck. Brooke tossed her keys to Austin and McKinlee as they both rushed to Brooke's car. I hopped in my truck and sped off down the road.

"Think..." I told myself.

As I sped down the road I couldn't help but worry. But I had to stay positive.

He couldn't have gotten far... Brooke had just seen Mason. So he wouldn't have had much time to get away with Lily.

I had just come around the corner when I saw the door to the Girl's Beach House wide open.

I jumped out of my truck and ran inside. Of course they weren't here but there was a note on the counter.

I hope you've already said your final goodbyes. -Mason

"That son of bitch!" I screamed, crumpling up the note. I threw it down on the ground. I sighed in frustration when I saw something on the back of the note. I picked it up. The scribbling on the back of the note was an address. It was also Lily's handwriting! Lily must have secretly written it down.

"You're brilliant, Lily!" I exclaimed. It could've been a set up but right now, it's all I have! I jumped back in my truck and floored the gas pedal. I grabbed the crumbled up note and pinned the address into my GPS.

Surprisingly the address was only a few miles from the beach house. This started to seem more like a trick, but I kept going in the direction the GPS guided me in.

When I finally pulled into an alleyway, I knew for sure it was a set up and a decoy until I heard a shrill scream. The scream made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I was frozen and paralysed for a moment. You could tell that the person who screamed was in great pain and torture. And I just knew for sure that the scream came from Lily.

I ran in the direction of the screaming. I could hear a deeper voice yelling and then you heard the slap of a hand coming in contact with someone else. I reached a closed door and Lily screamed louder and louder until there was one last slap. Then all you heard was silent sobs.

"Ok, now this want hurt a bit. Just don't squirm and it will be easier and funner for me." Mason voice growled.

I grabbed the nearest thing, a battered metal pole, and ran inside the door that all the screams were coming from. I was horrified at what I saw. Lily was lying on the ground, handcuffed and Mason was lying on top of her about to perform dreadful things. Without thinking, I swung the pole at Mason and with a thud he fell to the ground. Lily was shaking and sobbing. She was honestly barely noticeable. Her face was beaten and bloody. There were many bruises forming on her already. I rushed over to her terrified body.

"Ty...." She croaked, still sobbing. One of her eyes were swollen shut.

"I'm here, Lily." I said beginning to cry.

She inched her handcuffed hands over to me. I took the pole and counted to 3 then swinging the sharp pole down; the cuffs broke away but Lily just laid there, still sobbing. I wrapped my jacket around her fragile body and went to pull out my phone to call 911 when her eyes bulged and she tries to squeal.

"TY!" She winced.

I spun around just in time to see Mason swing at me with the pole.

I ducked and jumped out of the way. His face didn't look to good either. When I swung at him it made blood trickle all over his smashed face, making him look very sinister and lethal.

I kicked the pole out of his hand and raised my fists.

"Man to man." I stated. And he raised his fists too. Now, he was a big guy. Had to be in his early 20's. But I could take him.

He swung once and missed by feet. Okay, big, but strung out, drunk and maybe even a little blind.

He laughed as I swung and missed too. I then took advantage of the opportunity and swung one more time, knocking him to the ground. I jumped on top of him and didn't stop punching. Will wasn't here to pull me off this time. I looked over at Lily who was still lying there crying. But looking away was a big mistake, even for just a second. Mason punched me one good time in the jaw and I slipped off of him. I think it might be broke.

As Mason groaned and tried to get up, I went to push him back down when I heard a click and instantly backed away.

"Where are you going now, hero?" He asked pointing a gun at me.

"Look, just put the gun down and leave Lily alone. Forever. The door is right there. Go! Run!" I exclaimed.

"Not before I kill you!" He shouted just about pull the trigger when I looked at Lily one last time. She was trying to sit up and do something, but she couldn't. The bastard before me had beaten her until she couldn't move or talk. I started to cry when I thought of how just a few hours ago we had gone swimming without a care in the world. And I had seen that killer smile on her happy face. I tried to think of the good things. Us laughing in the pool earlier tonight. Of her pushing me in. The first time we met. And then I thought of the first time I had saved her from this scum. I glanced at her once more and I never wanted to see her that way ever again. Even if it was the last thing I did, I would make sure this, douche bag never bothered her again.

"Any last words, lover boy?" Mason asked, swirling the gun in the air.

"Yes. Can I just tell Lily one thing?" I asked.

"Make it quick." Mason scoffed.

I crouched down next to her and she grabbed my hand. She couldn't speak so she mouthed "no". I nodded my head and kissed her forehead as we both shed tears.

"Awe... Isn't that cute." Mason purred in my ear. He was standing right behind me. Big mistake.

I spun around and kneed him right in the groin. He doubled over in pain. Just as he fell to the ground so did the gun. He was now weapon less. I grabbed his shirt collar and punched him in the gut once.

"YOU SON-"

"OF A-"

"BITCH!" I yelled each time punching him one good time until he fell back onto his knees.

"I'm sorry..." He croaked.

"Sorry? SORRY? LOOK WHAT YOU DID! YOU BEAT AN INNOCENT GIRL TO A PULP. YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER AND YOU WERE GOING TO RAPE HER." I screamed, with tear after tear falling.

"Any last words?" I asked.

"You don't have the guts to shoot me." He huffed as I picked up the gun.

"No, but I guess you never knew that I was offered a scholarship. For playing baseball." I sneered and the smirk on his face fell as I tossed the gun and picked up the pipe.

With one final look, I swung with all my might and Mason's body flew backwards, hitting the ground.

I sighed and wiped away my tears. I could tell he was dead. It's over. It's finally over. Just then I turned to help Lily to the truck

"Ok, now Li- Lily? LILY?!" I exclaimed falling down next to her still body.

I felt her pulse and unlike Mason's, there was one.

"Lily, can you hear me?!" I panicked.

"We have to get you to the hospital!"

I stated, pulling out my phone and dialling 911.

"Ty..." She croaked and reached for my hand again. But she then fell back into still silence.

"Come on, Lily! Wake up! The ambulance is on their way!" I said frantically, trying to wake her.

But she didn't move. The tears reformed in my eyes. I pulled her hand to my lips, lightly kissing it and my tear fell onto her hand.

"Stay with me." I cried, as my tears continued to fall everywhere.

I felt Lily try to cough and try to open her eyes as she gained the strength to say one word that gave me all the hope in the world.

"Always."
