"Do you have to go?" I ask Chance once we arrive at the airport. "Yeah, some people have to start college", he tells me with a smile, but it only brings a frown on my face. "We were supposed to start college together", I whisper. His smile drops and wraps me into his arms. "I was just joking. I didn't mean it to be rude. Abbi you get to live the life you want. You'll be doing the thing you love to do for a job. In four years at the women's World Cup, you'll be the one to get the golden glove. Don't worry about me in college, have fun doing soccer", he tells me with sincerity. He places a kiss on my forehead and let's go of me. "Promise me that", he softly adds. I nod and tell him, "I promise." He grabs his suit cases and plane ticket, then we all begin to walk forward. "Bye Chance, have a safe flight and enjoy college man", Logan tells him while patting him on the back. Chance nods at him and says, "Thanks Logan, I plan on it." While adding a smile, but then turns toward Jake. "I'll miss you, don't forget about me", Jake says. "Oh yeah? I'll miss you too and I could never forget about my best friend", Chance tells him. I cough at the reference "my best friend" and Chance glances my way to give me a wink. I smile and duck my head. They hug and say some more 'bro' stuff. Chance comes to me and pulls me in real close, he leans down and whispers, "I'll always love you. I'm sorry I messed it up and I hope that you'll find happiness again someday." I can feel my eyes start to water up and I put my head against him. I feel him lay his head on top of mine, then I hear his plane being boarded. He steps back and I see tears on his face too. He leans down and gives me a soft kiss on the cheek. "Goodbye my love", he whispers one last time. I barely get out, "Goodbye Chance", without breaking out in tears. He waves the three of us bye, then goes to get on his plane. "Why does this hurt so much?" I ask Jake. He's now standing in front of me with a saddened face as well. "Because you still love him", he replies. Then pulls me into him and I just stand there letting my tears fall. I'm starting to think maybe Jake's right, I don't want Chance to leave because I still love him. Jake takes me by the hand and leads me out to Logan's car.

"Hey Logan do you mind dropping me off at Twan's?" I ask once we're getting close to the apartment. "Yeah it's on the way anyway", he replies. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Jake asks me. I look over to him and nod. "I need to talk to him, everything that he and I have been through I owe our friendship that", I reply with. Jake just nods at me while we reach Twan's flat. I get out of the car and look at Jake. He doesn't want to meet my gaze, so I say bye to Logan. I got up and not sure whether to knock or just unlock the door. A guy from next door walks past me and when he goes to unlock his door he looks at me. I quickly look the other way, since being caught staring. I hear him laugh and I feel my cheeks warm from embarrassment. "Locked out?" I hear the guy ask. I look back over and reply truthfully, "No I just can't decide whether to knock or unlock it myself." He laughs again and asks, "You two fighting?" I nod, his smile drops and tells me, "He left about ten minutes ago. He was leaving when I was getting my mail. You can wait with me if you like? I was about to make some coffee if you want some." I frown, I don't know why I didn't consider that Twan wouldn't be here. I think about calling Jake and asking him to come back, but then again I really wanted to talk to Twan. "Sure that sound nice. Thank you, just let me leave a note for him", I tell the neighbor. I open the apartment door and go to the kitchen counter where the note paper is. Need to talk, call when you see this –Abbi, I write. Looking around I find the apartment empty, so I go over to the next apartment and knock on the door. It swings open, revealing the guy from earlier. "Hey you made it", he tells me. I laugh and say, "Yep I mean I've been living next to you over a month and have never gotten the chance to actually meet you. I'm Abbi." He leads me to the kitchen and turns around. "I'm Dillon, I suppose you're right though. I've just been super busy, as have you and Twan I'm sure", he tells me while getting cups down. "What do you do for a living?" I ask with curiosity. He smiles at me and replies, "I'm a photographer." I gasp, it totally took me by surprise. "Can I see some of your work?" I immediately ask. He smiles and gives a small laugh. "Yeah of course, let me just put on the coffee real quick", he replies. He has dimples, it's like they're memorizing. Ok, Abbi you don't need another guy in your life to add to this mess. Dillon leaves the room and I sit on the couch. He comes back with photo books in his arms. "Wow you have a lot", I tell him impressed. He laughs again showing his dimples. "Yeah it may be my job, but I love doing this", he answers with sincerity.

We look over his photos and talk for hours, I didn't even realize until my phone rings. I grab it and ask, "Hello?" Then I hear Twan's voice, "Ab can you come over?" I nod, then realize he can't see me so I say, "Yeah I'll be right there." I hang up and get off Dillon's couch. "I have to go, but thank you so much for the coffee and letting me see your photos. They're beautiful Dillon, really you're an amazing photographer", I tell him while gathering my things. I head out the door and knock on Twan's. His door swings open and he's standing there with puffy eyes from crying. Then just like that his arms are wrapped around me. "I'm so sorry Abbi. I'm sorry", he tells me.

Thank you for everyone reading!! I hope you liked this chapter

I don't want to say this is the last time we see Chance, but for now it is. Also it's a look at Abbi finally admitting how she feels. What did you think of the goodbye scene? Happy to see him gone?

I'm dedicating this chapter to the character Dillon, who I think Joshua Anthony Brand can be used to represent what he looks like. His character is going to play a big part in the next coming chapters, so look out to seeing him again.

Well until next week :)
