This Summer (Jake Paul and friends)

Chapter 12

Just like cliché girls, I love to see sunrises. I get up before Twan and go out onto the balcony. Last night was horrible and kept me up from getting a good night's sleep. Moments like this I like to sit out here and people watch, while taking in the morning air. I hear the door open and I look up from the small bench and see Jake walking towards me. He insisted to stay last night, saying he wouldn't sleep unless he was near me. He pulls me close to him on the bench and places a soft kiss on my forehead. "I tried to not wake you", I say right above a whisper. He strokes my hair and tells me, "You didn't. I just woke up with uneasiness, then saw you out here." I lean my head against his shoulder and close my eyes. "Can I ask you something?" I hear Jake ask. I nod my head and barely get out, "Always." I feel him shift underneath me. "Is there something going on between Hayes and you?" he asks. My eyes shoot open and I sit up. "I have something to tell you. I sort of went on a date with him and we've kissed multiple of times. But I put a stop to it last night, because I don't want to start anything right now. Also...Johnson and I kissed by accident", I reply with everything. Jake's eyes widen and I can't read his expression. "I'm going to go check the mail for you guys", he tells me and gets up to go back inside. What the hell just happened?

I wait for Jake to come back to ask what that was all about, but he bust opens the door and runs up to me. "You have a huge thick envelope from you team!" he yells while practically throwing the thing in my face. I laugh and open the envelope, there's eight pages inside, and with the first saying I'm invited to the annual "Dash" Celebration. A smile appears on my face, I heard about this. Every year a new team member is added, the team gets together every day for a week doing different activities. I quickly flip to the other pages and discover what the activities are. Jake grabs the pages out of my hand and tells me, "Let me see, geez Ab you're such a hogger." I snatch them back and run to the other side of the living room. However, I immediately feel a pair of arms wrap around me and then Jake takes this opportunity to take the papers again. "This is it! Isn't it? You were hoping this would happen!" he gets all excited while yelling and taking me out of Twan's embrace. Twan takes the papers and reads the first page. "I'm so happy for you, this is what you need right now", he tells me. I take the papers back and find that I can bring a guest for each event. I already know seven perfect guys to take.

"Why are we here?" Is something wrong?" Kenny asks. I look at all the guys, I've gathered them all at Jack and Jack's apartment to announce my Dash Celebration. "Today I got in the mail an invitation for a week-long event for my team, this involves a different event for each night and I'd like to take each of you for one of the nights", I announce to them all. I see the biggest smile appear on Johnson's face, the others nod. "What are they?" Hayes asks me. I get the papers out and clear my throat, I feel like I'm on the Bachelorette right now. "Monday is going on a picnic, for this I picked Johnson. Tuesday is karaoke night, Kenny I picked you for this. Wednesday is actually just us playing soccer with our 'plus ones', I picked Gilinsky to play with me. Thursday is a paint gun fight, kind of like a water gun fight but with paint and I wanted Twan to do this with, because I know we'll dominate. Friday is going to a club, Jake I picked you for that since we've danced together before. Saturday is a black and white affair, kind of like a fancy ball or something like that and I picked Cameron, because I mean you look really good in a tux Cam. Anyway last is Sunday and it's a day on the beach and a campfire at night, this I want to do with Hayes", I tell them all. There's mixed emotions on all their faces. "You really think I look good in a tux?" Cameron asks me while winking. I laugh and roll my eyes. "That's the only question asked?" I get out after the laughter. "I think it would be cheating, if you take me for karaoke", Kenny comments with a smile. This brings everyone to a laugh. Johnson finally speaks up, "Ab this sounds like an amazing week. Can't wait." I smile at this, I haven't really gotten to talk to him, but there's something there that makes me smile about him. "Are you all really ok with it?" I ask. They nod and Gilinsky says, "Though I'm not really good at soccer Ab." I smirk a little and tell him, "I know, but it was the only thing that didn't sound like a date. I wanted you there, but I know you have Madison." A grateful smile appears on his face and he tells me, "Thank you, you're right." Jake quickly asks, "Does that mean all the other nights are dates?" I gasp and can feel my cheeks begin to redden. "No that's...no", I stumble with words. The guys all laugh and Twan adds, "Don't worry Ab, we get it. You just want to show us all off." My cheeks only deepen with red. I walk over to Twan and jump on him while messing up his hair. "Ah! Ok I'm sorry! Just not the hair!" he yells. I stop and bust out into laughter, everyone joining me. This is going to be fun.
