The scenery is so beautiful here. The different shades of green held within the the trees we pass are eye catching. For some reason I just feel at peace in this town, which is strange because I have never been here before. Unless you count being in my moms stomach which i don't think you do.

"Welcome to Lupusville!" Read the sign on the side of the road. Thanks.

"Jeez Amelia! Even a sign sounds more enthusiastic than you", I scold myself.

Excuse me if I get grumpy after long, long, long, like really long car rides. I'm talking day-long car rides. I can assure you I'm not the only one. I've also never been good at sleeping in cars so Ive been living off of only 3-4 hours of sleep a night which leaves me dreary- minded, hence the unenthusiastic tone.

Regardless of my mental state I am ecstatic to be moving to the place my parents grew up, met and eventually "had" me. It's not like where I grew up holds anything for me except memories. I don't have thousands of friends who were sobbing at my doorstep the morning we left begging me to stay and I wasn't going to miss anyone dearly. Every close family friend we have is from lupusville so we weren't close to anyone else. I'm guessing everyone from this town is really close considering the many friends my parents have stayed in touch with from here even though we didn't stay long after I was born. My parents are the people that matter the most to me and made those memories worth remembering and since they are with me I have nothing to sweat.

With my shoulder length auburn-brown hair that I inherited from my mom  and dark green eyes that match my dads there is no misplacing that I am my parents child. I may have the 5'7" stature of my mother but this body can "pack a punch" as my dad likes to say. I have his temper and my moms caring nature which my father is very proud to admit.

My parents act like they are still a teenage couple, sneaking kisses when they think no ones looking or purposefully if they want to scar my virgin eyes. It's like all the chemistry from the first date is still there and has no chance of fading which is crazy magical if you ask me. I want to find that one day... Someone who will look at me the way my dad does toward my mom, with complete adoration as if she the only one in the world.

My father is 6'3" and you will almost always find him with a wide smile on his face. He can be serious when the time comes and is always looking out for his family. My mother is a little on the shorter side, but the perfect height to nuzzle my dad's chin when they hug. She's the knee-length-dress type of woman, always managing to look glamorous in whatever she wears. Whether it be boyfriend jeans and a tee or a casual dress with flats she will always be the prettiest woman I've met.

Speaking of the poopers, they are both animatedly singing along to a Taylor swift song as we come closer to our destination. I roll my eyes at their childish behavior but won't  judge too hard knowing that if it weren't for the fact that I have been crumped up in this car for, what feels like forever, I would join in on the jam sesh. Instead I opt for a smile as I vier my tired eyes towards the endless rows of small shops and restaurants.

This place is so cute! Like a little play town!

Okay Amelia calm down, it's just the exhaustion talking. You don't really want to play with the kind town people now do you?

"No, I'm serious they look so friendly!"  I think as I watch people pass each other by with a sweet smile and kind greeting.

"It doesn't mean you can just compare them to dolls in a dollhouse." I reprimand myself.

Touché

Man maybe I have lost it. I just had an argument with myself in my head. Whatever it's too late to go back now, I internally conclude with a slight shrug of my shoulders.
