"Favorite candy, go!" I break the sound of munching at our lunch table.

It's my fourth day at this school and I am trying to get to know them on a more deeper level as you can see. For instance, I have noticed the load these three eat. It's like a mound of food on all plates and that's saying something because I love to eat.

Andrew raises an amused eyebrow at me while Amber jumps the gun to answer the question.

"Jolly Ranchers! Goddess I love those fruit flavored suckers." She exclaims animatedly.

"Literally!" I say referring to the way she called them suckers and they are indeed sucked on. Amber seems to get my joke as she laughs along with me.

"You two are strange." Lucas comments.

"Lucy you have no room to judge." Amber uses her oh-so-endearing nickname for Lucas.

"Fine. But my answer is chocolate kisses." Lucas admits.

I give him the wtf look. "That's just chocolate in a different shape."

"So that doesn't mean I can't like it." He says and starts to nuzzle his head in Ambers neck while she sits on his lap.

"Chocolate." Is Andrews simple response. He looks into my eyes like he is gaging my reaction as if he will hang on my every word.

"Just chocolate? No filling, no flavors?"

"Nope." He says waiting for my commentary that he knows he will be receiving.

"Is that the same for milkshakes. I mean come on, only chocolate." I start off. "Well I guess I can't judge I like regular vanilla but- Heh maybe." I begin to reconsider my opinion. He makes it seem like the sexiest and most appealing candy in the world so i might have to give it a try.

"What do you guys have planned for the weekend?" Amber asks after her snuggle-fest with Lucas is over.

"I have to work all weekend." Lucas answers nonchalantly. Amber on the other hand seems to tense and inch closer to Lucas. If I wasn't so observant I probably wouldn't have noticed. She could've been adjusting herself in a more comfy position but oddly enough I always notice these small things when it comes to these two and Andrew.

But what kind of job does he work that would make Amber act like this, a stripper lounge or something? It's not like he's going to war either so...

"Oh I am going to see about getting a job at the bookstore down town." I announce.

"Oh my goodness you're applying for a job at Mrs. Calloffs bookstore?" Amber screeches forgetting about her sour mood from before.

"Wait you're going to be out on the weekend?" Andrew cuts in with a worried and curious frown on his face. I don't like that face. He's too pretty to have a frown.

"Um, yes." I answer Amber's question while pointing to her " and yes" I say turning my finger toward Andrew "but only for a little while, just to go to the interview and back to my house." I feel the need to justify my actions in order to reassure him.

"We can work at the same place! You are definitely going to get it. Eld- I mean Catherine is going to love you."
I don't miss the slip up but don't make a big deal out of it.

"I have already met Mrs. Calloff and she seems really nice. Also if worst comes to worst I can always work in the cafe. I made the best smoothies back in my old town."

"Forget milkshakes. Her smoothies bring all the boys to the yard!" Everyone at the table except for Andrew laughs at Amber's joke.

"Come on Andrew that was a good one!" I say as I elbow him in a playful manner and he finally cracks a smile.
